I started my counselor journey at the beginning of the pandemic. It was great to know that whenever I felt overwhelmed and anxious I had my counselor right there to talk to. It was so convenient being able to schedule my appointments to what worked for me and doing them the way I felt most comfortable. I loved my time with BetterHelp and would suggest it for anyone!

Better then in office help. Got to be part of my choice of therapists. Found a therapist in my home state. Helps with working with other doctors. Great business.

The site provides you with a counselor quickly for your issues. You can change quickly until you find the right match for you. The counselor can communicate via webcam, phone, or writing. The platform is easy to use. One con is that you can't schedule multiple appointments weeks out. The therapists do have consistent availability but this could be difficult for someone with a variable and busy schedule. The site also has webinars that are psychoeducational - I take notes and attend as many of these as possible. I love them because they explain concepts for coping and health very explicitly. Like, mindfulness, self-care, etc. For me, this is a lot more help and convenient than traditional therapy. I'd recommend trying it and seeing if it is a match for you.

So far my experiences with BetterHelp have been just what I was hoping for. Quick assessments and pairings and good resources available. I had one little hiccup early on and the customer service team helped me in getting everything squared away with timely and helpful responses. If you are in need of help and have been considering BetterHelp I strongly suggest giving it a shot, you won't regret it.

BetterHelp is great for asking introductory questions and matching you to a therapist that works for you based on your answers. I have found my therapist, Dr. Torres, there who I have been working with for a year and it has greatly helped me in this stage of therapy. I have been able to apply the skills I am learning and given the freedom to be independent, and still have follow-up messages for check-ins to see how I'm doing. She is an open, non-judgmental and kind person who is a great therapist. She has been my safe space for the last year, and I would highly recommend her and this service. BetterHelp allows you to schedule meetings with your therapist at your convenience, through your phone, hold video/ phone sessions that I have found just as useful as in-person sessions without the commute, and allows me to be able to message my therapist for faster responses than scheduled meetings whenever I need it. It also helps me process and put into words what is happening without having to wait to see someone and it either causing me to become stuck in the problem or completely avoid it. They have differing payment plans and also financial aid if needed.

Great resource for people that need to understand their issues and learn about and develop coping mechanisms to help deal with life's challenges. The best part about BetterHelp is the affordability and accessibility to care for people from all walks of life.
