My therapist cancelled a few hours before the session Instead she rescheduled to next week thereby making my weekly session futile. So I changed therapist. Both therapist do not chat much. I wanted a full refund but they don't seem to honor it. I should have read the reviews from app store. The app was buggy too and took minutes to load.

This website doesn't make the experience/process clear up front. You have to divulge a lot of personal information in the first step of the process on the website, without knowing what comes next. What comes at the end of that process are two options. To pay (and start therapy now) or select the option that says you can't afford to pay. You have to pay knowing nothing about who your therapist is (i.e. what you are paying for), and their qualificiations. A therapist is later assigned. Unfortunately, and I'm sure they didn't intend this, the website didn't build my confidence or trust in them as a company. Given that I put so much personal, sensitive information into the website, I wanted this data removed. I couldn't find where to do this in the website. I asked Customer Support and they gave instructions for me to delete my account/data, but the website didn't work in the way they described. The option wasn't there. So, I asked them to delete my account for me. Almost a month later, my account is still active. This company should take better care with personal data provided and action requests to delete personal data. They should improve the user experience of the website.

After being promised a free trial by helpline, a mental health service, they charges me all the money in my account. I don't even use their services. They are a scam. Please don't use their website.

I went through the app and the usual questions before it gave me any indication on how the subscription worked and the cost. It wasn’t really what I was looking for so didn’t proceed. Was then bombarded with emails asking why I hadn’t proceeded which I replied explaining it was due to a lack of transparency on their part. Kept on receiving emails with ‘special offers’ and techniques I associate with someone trying to sell me a second hand car. Clearly an automated bot and hadn’t read the response I gave them, so not really a great sign and glad I didn’t proceed.

I have been charge with six sessions and I never had any conversation with any therapist despite asking to notify me through telephone and email. I am disappointed that I have been taking advantage especially at times when my mental health has been fragile.

Better Help is a scam Don’t use Don’t Use.My daughter suffers from bouts of depression at time been suicidal and even attempted suicide.In January we sign her up for Better help.Her first counselor she wasn’t feeling comfortable with better help says you can change your counselor at any time she requests a change that took three weeks yet I was charged the full $260.My daughter new counselor retired or leaf better help she hasn’t had appointment in two weeks yet once again I was charged $260.When you try to call there no way to reach anyone from better help they only message services.This is a scam don’t waste your $ more importantly don’t trust you love one to Better help

If I could give zero stars, I would. I started BetterHelp, bravely, to help me with deep issues I’ve been experiencing for 30 years. I was matched with a therapist and only had one introductory meeting after being charged $320. The next three weeks, the therapist kept cancelling sessions at the last minute and was extremely rude about it. After feeling rejected, I realized this platform wasn’t for me and I decided to end my membership. Before I could do that, I noticed they auto charged me ANOTHER $320. So, I just paid $640 for one introductory session where I received absolutely no help. I emailed and asked for a full refund and cancellation of my membership and was answered by saying they’ll push my billing date back another three weeks and won’t cancel my membership! I replied politely requesting the same thing I originally requested and they told me they’d only refund one payment and I could cancel the membership myself. What a horrible way to capitalize off of people with mental health issues who take the step to try and get better. I still haven’t seen the refund come through, but if/when it does, it’ll mean that I paid $320 total for only one session, meaning they are not more affordable than traditional therapy, where a therapist will actually show up at the scheduled meeting time. I wouldn’t recommend this platform to anyone.
