Overall, I had great first experience on BetterHelp. It was affordable and convenient. The set up process was fast. The only thing that worried me at first was being assigned a counselor that did not meet my preferences after specifically being asked for my preferences. I reached out to BetterHelp who apologized and was given more options immediately. I was also honest with my assigned counselor and he understood respectfully and gave me the option to find someone new without any guilt. I ended up working really well with my initial counselor and am walking away better than before I came in.

Better help has given me a free month for these therapy sessions. And how they match you up with someone has been amazing. Better help matched me up with someone who can relate or understand what I have been going through. I find the online stuff pretty interesting, especially the worksheets you can provide and send.

Overall I had a good experience with Betterhelp. I do find that the pricing is not helpful to accessibility, I was paying $180 a month which isn’t horrible but given the current climate it is not something I am able to maintain long term. The therapist that I was matched with was very knowledgeable and very adaptable to whatever my issues were, as well as my lack of time to schedule a formal appointment. I highly recommend giving this a try even if you are skeptical.

Better help is an affordable, quality way to connect with a counselor and enjoy many of the benefits of traditional therapy without the need to leave the comfort of your own home. As with any service, the need to find someone you truly connect with may take a couple of tries, but in the end it's absolutely worth it. Better help comes highly recommended.

BetterHelp matched me with a counselor that has exceeded all expectations of what counseling should be. BetterHelp has been quickly responsive to all my questions, as this was my first time in therapy. The interfaces are extremely user friendly. I would recommend BetterHelp 100%!
