I recently began the sign-up process with Better Health and inquired about their insurance acceptance. Unfortunately, I was informed that they do not currently work with insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid. I am shocked and disappointed to hear this, as mental health is a serious matter, and it seems that Better Help prioritizes profit over their clients' well-being. It is difficult to understand how such a large corporation cannot work with healthcare companies. This corporation is a JOKE. It is disheartening that individuals seeking mental health services must pay out of pocket or apply for financial aid.

Since when is it okay to choose a therapist based on their skin colour? It's discriminating and racist. Even more if you can only choose one of them. Doesn't matter if it's black, brown, or white. Racism stops when colour doesn't matter, it's very simple. 2023 and we still have the racism issue, very sad. Please treat us the way you'd like to be treated. Change your culture, be nice.

I just read an email from BetterHelp that they were sharing customers' sensitive data with Facebook, Inc. (now "Meta"); Snapchat (Snap Inc.); Pinterest; and/or Criteo. Shared information includes: -Your hashed email address, which these companies used to identify you if you had an account with them -The IP address that may identify your device when you access our service -If you answered "yes" to the Intake Questionnaire question "Have you ever been in therapy before?" -If you answered "good" or "fair" to the Intake Questionnaire question "How would you rate your current financial status?"

Absolutely do not use this website. They take advantage of mentally unwell people, charge 300+ dollars monthly with NO INVOICES, and have sold the users' data, including their responses to mental health questionnaires, to websites for targeted advertising. Just look at all the complaints the Better Business Bureau has gotten from them.

First off I would like to say that I have no issue with my councillor who was fine. My issue is with the way the company tries to get the councillor to tie you into more and more sessions. I stupidly had four sessions then didn’t want any more but didn’t realise I had to cancel as I thought I would have to pay again for any more. It ended up with me paying £720 and only having four sessions! I have to put this down to experience and it has left me in a far worse place than I was before. Please be aware!

I wrote a review of the sham practices of this company and they responded but when I tried to answer I was required to give a "reference number" however there was never given any such "reference number". in typical better help fashion I was prevented from responding. Terrible company

I really didn't want to write public review for this but I feel like I have no choice. It's taken me a long time to sign up to get some therapy and feel like I've been completely ripped off. I paid £160 upfront for 4 weeks which I thought I'd have 4 sessions. My first match didn't do evenings so I had to change. My second match cancelled twice 5 minutes before the session and my only therapy session was via text message when I'd requested a phone call. I essentially paid £160 for a 45 minute text conversation which was very basic. Since then, I did not have enough money to pay for another month like Better Help requested and asked a refund for £120 for the 3 weeks of messing about and cancellations by the therapist. I was told I would be given a 40% discount until October. I again asked for a refund and advised I did not want any further sessions. I have had another £96 taken from my account when I had sent 3 x previous emails clearly stating I no longer wanted their service and had unsubscribed. I have requested a refund of £216 in total (I've taken off the £40 for my 45 minute text session for arguments sake) and I have had no response from Better Help. They have completely ignored my previous 2 emails. Since the £96 was taken from my account, I've been left with -£11.42 in my account. I live alone and have bills to pay which I now can't as I have no money. I have been royally messed over by Better Help!

I cancelled my membership in May and they took the money (£240) in June and I had to ask for it back. I assumed this was resolved but they have taken another £240 in July which has yet to be refunded despite two emails. It is difficult to contact them directly. (refund now pending.)
