This company takes advantage of vulnerable people.
Despite the alluring ads on all the podcasts, Better Help is not a good company. First, they don't take insurance. Second, you do not pay for sessions. You pay for the opportunity to schedule sessions. If you can't match on a time with your assigned therapist, you are out that $. Third, they make it very hard to quit, after they already have your credit card information. This company takes advantage of people who are vulnerable, for profit, and that is evil.

We're sorry you feel this way, Chris! We offer membership pricing, and bill for access to all the platform features (which includes the option to have weekly live sessions) for a set period of time rather than a set number of live sessions. However, we are only an email away if any member is having issues getting regular sessions booked, and can help adjust your account accordingly. I also wanted to point out that canceling a membership (and automatic renewals) can be done in just a few clicks, and directly from the Account Settings page. With all of that said, we've sent a TrustPilot form requesting the email address you use to sign in to BetterHelp. This way we can work together and get this sorted out however works best for you. Looking forward to speaking soon, BetterHelp Team
