I was going through a very rough time. The therapist from my insurance could only squeeze me in once every three months or so, if that. I knew I desperately needed more help than that. Thanks to this service I am able to always be in touch with my therapist when I’m having a hard time to help me navigate through the issues I have. It really was such a blessing.

I just recently lost my oldest Daughter to Cancer . I didn’t know how to move forward. My wife and our other children allowed me to grieve in my own way . I started to try and bury these emotions, I was a total wreck of a man . I’ve lost one Baby Brother 2 nephews and one Uncel within 2 years time . My first child Denay was very special. All our children are but #1 is something a little different. She and all the other things took control of me . I have ADHD, I have abused alcohol, I have abused drugs, and my family members we’re concerned so they looked and found Better Help !! for me . I never thought I would need to person to confide to tell all my secrets to , but once I took hold of the idea, I’ve had a 100% change in my life . I connected to a very Helpful Person. Lowell Wallace (my counselor ) . He has taught me how to deal with my emotions, my anxiety, my substance abuse . These are every day things that every individual should know but some of us forget . I lost my way for a short period of time, and now I’m back to living my life the way I think is best for me and my family. I don’t allow other people to control my emotions I am in control of them . I’m back to work full-time, I have no substance abuse problems, and I have a teacher that helps me. My families a great help and a great support but having an individual outside of all that help set me straight. I never thought I would need a psychiatrist or a counselor or anyone to tell me how to live but if you’re hurting you’re angry you’re burying feelings and emotion . Have a talk with some one , talk to BetterHelp , have them help guide you to someone who’ll help you .

I really like using BetterHelp counseling for my therapy because I have anxiety when in person or over the phone and with BetterHelp I can just message if I want to. My counselor doesn't just tell me what I need to do but helps me come up with the best plan/solution and encourages me along the way. Betterhelp was quick and easy, and affordable. I am still with the counselor I was first paired with and we have weekly sessions.

I was matched with someone who was able to travel with me and at times guide, at times be curious, at time just be there, and at times ask me the hard questions to dig deep into myself to find answers. I was able to communicate not only face to face but also via messaging which I found really helpful at times in between sessions. In addition to talking with someone, I was also able to leverage other resources such as an online journal, worksheets and webinars on different topics.

My counselor listens well, provides good feedback, proceeds homework and readings which have really helped. Thank you!
