I have Borderline Personality Disorder and have been getting dialectical behavior therapy since Dec '19 and been with Mimi the whole time and she's sweet, genuine, not a know-it-all, she's very honest but not harsh. I never schedule time in because I think BPD isn't predictable enough for that so I message her when I want to talk and she always replies the next day. If I go a week without talking to her for whatever reason, she'll message me asking if I'm okay or how my week is going. No complaints. Just some tips for those looking to get help; Some therapists do it for the money, some think they know everything but really don't know much at all. Finding a good one that you click with is hard but it's so worth it when you do. Don't go until you're ready to open up because YOU control the sessions. They're not necessarily there to fix you, they're job is more to help you make sense of everything going on in your life and how to deal with it in a healthy way.

BetterHelp has helped me get counseling in a really convenient way; I can get counseling from wherever I am, whenever I need it, since it is all online and you can text your whenever counselor whenever you want/need. It’s also a more affordable way of counseling. You’re also able to change counselors with the push of a button which has been nice in the case you need to change counselors for any reason!

Betterhelp has made it easier for me to attend therapy on a weekly basis. I was connected to a counselor in under 24 hours, and when I didn't like the initial counselor offered to me, I was able to easily switch (literally a few clicks). My current therapist is amazing, board certified, licensed in my state, AND someone that I feel can truly support me on my journey. For me, the cost is cheaper than going in person using insurance. Better Health has really help me uncover some feelings that. I had hide from myself and making plans to help me deal with the pain that those feelings have cause me. I have real hope in finally getting a better understanding of how to better to deal with my pain.
