I originally discovered Better Help through my EAP when I was struggling with the deaths of some coworkers. My counselor, Jill, has been excellent. She's helped me deal with my work issues, some family issues, and now the stress of a cross-country move! I would recommend Better Help to anyone. It's done via via chat from my phone or laptop, and my counselor is very qualified and professional.

BetterHelp has been an invaluable resource for me as I work through the many life changes that have been affecting me lately. The therapists are highly skilled in their area of expertise and offer the tools that I need to tackle many of life's challenges. They can't prescribe medication, so if you're looking for that you'll have to go into an office. But if you're looking for a more holistic approach to improve your overall well-being, BetterHelp is your place.

I joined BetterHelp with low expectations due to having seen other traditional therapists and they didn’t work out well. I can say that I was very pleasantly surprised!!! My counselor Mankea Collier (LCPC) has been amazing!!! I couldn’t recommend her enough!! If you are on the fence, you should try it. It could be a great fit.

I have been using betterhelp for almost a month and the service has been impressive. I’ve been working with a therapist who has truly been helpful and helping me with whatever issues i’ve been facing. Betterhelp has also been quite understanding. I reached out to them asking about financial aid and after completing a short survey, i received 40% financial aid for a month, which can be extended in the future. They also mailed to me a cool keepcup as a token of appreciation after I wrote a review for my therapist.

I personally connected with my therapist and I appreciate her spiritual guidance and professional expertise in the matters of which I’ve been dealing. The groupinars are very informative, detailed and provides a sense of community which I enjoyed a lot. My very first experience with BetterHelp was a bit mediocre but the second time I tried it and matched with a great therapist. I then felt better about having purchased another subscription. My advice: - take advantage of the groupinars and take notes - don’t be afraid to request for another therapist if you don’t feel the connection - write in the journal just to say something because the suggestions, while not perfect, prompt you to write about something positive and sometimes helps put things in perspective - ask for those worksheets pertaining to your issues if you need help organizing your emotions and thoughts What to know (downfalls) - some people require medication so sometimes oral therapy isn’t enough - not all therapists respond same day; it’s more of an email type of communication but my therapist responds within 24 hrs so it really depends on who you get - the face-face time has a limit of 30 mins, so that’s a bit limited if you enjoy that kind of therapy session
