Edit*. Thank you for your reply, even that is misleading, my team has said no multiple times and until I posted this review, no one there was willing to help. I do appreciate the refund, would have been so much easier if you had all just done the right thing to start with and not perpetuate this tale of “caring” for those looking for or having mental health issues. I am sure the therapists are great, but the company is less than honest and will only do the right thing if called out. if you are from outside of the US, this product is not for you. They say they have international license therapist, but I was unable to actually connect with one for months yet they still took my monthly fee. I reached out multiple times to find someone that was legally allowed to practice in Canada and was sent on wild goose chases and given names of therapists that were not able to help where I live. Buyer Beware if you are not in the US

Better help refused to allow me to make appts when my cc was stolen, but charged me for the two months it took to get the new cc. They blocked me from making appts, but then charged me for those two months. How is that right?

I have been changed with the auto renewal for 420 gbp and have only got 1 individual session. I have written email to ask for refund as I didn’t have matched schedule with the therapist but it has been more than a month and there was no reply. I really don’t like how this is auto renewed regardless of how many sessions have been actually scheduled. Also I am surprised that my email has been completely ignored for a month.

They charged me 3000euro for a single session. No reply to emails about that, all I have left is legal action.

Connection issues, issues with therapists not turning up on time, triggering me, not caring and not supporting me out of it. £200 a month is apparently a reduced rate for someone not working and yet if the therapist is on holiday that week you are still charged. I tried with 5 different therapists and gave up. They gave some money back for not having sessions because of app issues/connection and so no therapy. But it wasn't enough. I also realised it was mainly one of the therapists connection that was the issue and she didn't seem to care. In hindsight she could have done a voice call instead rather than waste my time! I was refunded £60 after having spent £600 for 3 months of wasted time and money. Even the group session I got removed from I assume because I was 5 mins late because of connection issues. Today I cried in my session because she triggered me and then I was told its my filtering to why I'm upset. Pointing out im nervous too doesnt make me feel good. I'm done with betterhelp!! The idea is good the reality is much different

My first payment of £180 for 4 sessions was apparently actually for 4 weeks regardless of how many sessions you manage to squeeze in in that time! Due to my therapist cancelling twice because she was ill and our first session being 2 weeks after I registered i have had one session only in the 4 weeks since first signing up. Now they have automatically taken another £180 from my account for another ‘4 sessions’ which is in actual fact 4 weeks regardless of whether your therapist cancels your sessions! To sum up- this service only exacerbates stress/anxiety and have no interest in being transparent about their ethos - take everyone’s money dishonestly and unfairly. Their customer service has not been useful this far and they are not easy to contact (no phone number or chat bot/live chat)

This company is a 3rd party vendor to my employer's EAP program. There are two layers to go through before you are sent to Better Help to be matched with a therapist. By the time you are at that stage, your identity as an eligible employee with EAP benefits has been verified. I received an email that I was supposedly matched with a therapist for a video appointment and I logged on to my Better Help account to read the therapist message regarding setting up an appointment. This therapist demanded my complete date of birth (when my age would be more than adequate), my street address and then I was supposed to upload a copy of my driver's license. Why? Why does any therapist need all of that identifying information to be sent to her when I've already been vetted through two different systems prior to getting matched to a therapist? The whole thing completely turned me off. There is currently a class action lawsuit against this company for compromising user identities (to target market on social media websites). There is no legitimate reason the therapist needed me to send her my driver's license. None. Zippo. I will not be continuing with this service. Oh, so I got a notice from Trust pilot that my review is going to be removed due to this vendor challenging my review. Is this a place you'd trust with your mental health?

When you need the help the most uou are being robbed!!! They have charged me 240£ for the second time despite the fact that I haven’t use my sessions bought first time yet. When contacted them they have refund 180 instead of 240!!! Now trying to avoid contact and full refund. Also the therapist Ruth: AVOID. She is bored of you and showing that a lot. Thiefs!
