BetterHelp has made better help more accessible. I found this app during the height of the worst episodes of my mental health issues. Therapy has always seemed like a luxury that I couldn't afford, BetterHelp offered financial aids so I could be able to prioritize my wellbeing without costing an arm and a leg. There are a lot of diverse licensed therapists available on their platform. It is pretty easy to navigate too. Thank you.

I love this app, its convient and I absolutely love the they have assistance as far as pament goes because thats what has always kept me from seeing a therapist. Great App, I have already told alot of my friends and family about this app.

My therapist Amy Altman is fantastic, and after matching with her, it only took a few sessions for her to truly understand my story and help me see how I got to where I am today. Ow, we are working on tangible skills and practices that are helping me live a more mentally and emotionally healthy life.

I've never used therapy before, basically didn't believe in it. But with the help of BetterHelp and Dr. Paul Teska, it has changed my life, changed me as a person and has given me the tools to take on life. Really happy I did this, I saw results immediately!

This app was extremely useful to turn to after suffering a meltdown in my life after the swift passing of a close relative due to cancer. The ease of talking and different methods of communication drew me here as I'm not overly a fan of phone calls and video chats with people about my own deep issues. Having the option for effective anonymity to just talk through text message was the clinch for me and the therapist I had was always punctual, considerate and a good sense of humour who would also send me videos to watch like TED talks and book recommendations on the side. The only teething issue is therapist availability at times and paying weekly/monthly, you can struggle to get your moneys worth, sometimes having to wait over 2 weeks for your next appointment if you're trying to find an appointment to fit around your work schedule. That ironed itself out once I got into the rhythm of it though and ended up spending 3 months on therapy. Just some food for thought though.

I’ve put off therapy for a long time. I knew EMDR was recommended to me before, but with something specialized like that I assumed it wasn’t accessible for my family’s budget. I also convinced myself that it would be a lot of work to try to find a therapist on my own, and I would be discouraged quickly and lose motivation. I chose BetterHelp out of convenience mostly, and I was under the impression it probably couldn’t do what I thought I was looking for. I ultimately decided to sign up in order to keep myself from making excuses and just do the first step. I had low expectations, and I was preparing to start the awkward referral process with my family doctor. I was matched to a therapist within 2 days, and I thought I would listen and hear what she had to say—at worst I would be exactly in the same position I was before. I am so thankful to say how pleased I am with BetterHelp and my therapist. She is exactly what I was looking for and I didn’t know it at the time. I’ve met with her 3 times now, but I’m learning so much. Without BetterHelp I wouldn’t have met Kimberly, and I genuinely wonder if I would have continued the process with seeking out a referral. BetterHelp just made it so easy to stop rationalizing putting therapy off.

Betterhelp has been so great for me because it is so incredibly convenient for me living in a rural area. It saves me 2 hours of time per every session that I would have to take off to travel to a provider. This makes using therapy so much more accessible for me. I highly recommend it!
