My overall experience has been very good; except for the scheduling. I find sessions shown as being open within the same week and attempt to schedule. I just want to fit my 4 sessions in for the billing period. Current system rules it appears, have no longer allowed me to schedule more than once in a week, I am not bouncing of the walls, but I want sessions to be on my schedule. As Andy's schedule has filled up, I expect there to be less open sessions. But I want to work with it on my terms, unhindered by silly system rules.

All of the therapists in my area were booked for months out, so I came to Better Help- I couldn't wait months to work on my anxiety. The therapist that chose me was absolutely perfect for my needs- I am so grateful for her. She was easy to schedule with, extremely responsive to messages, and such a talented therapist overall. When I was finally able to see someone in-person/covered by my insurance, I switched over to that instead of Better Help. I honestly would have considered staying with BH (since I love my therapist) if I was able to pay on a per-session basis, instead of all 4 weeks at once, because I'm at the point where I'd like to spread out sessions, but don't want to pay the full amount. There is a "maintenance" plan where you can schedule a session once a month, but it's still $200 (since you have access to messaging and group sessions on BH). I still feel like that's way too expensive. Anyhoo, my experience with BH was awesome and I'm grateful for the intensive sessions weekly while I needed them. If that's your situation, I'd recommend it completely- but if you're only looking for sessions every 2 weeks or every month, I do not recommend BH because you'll pay for 4 weeks no matter what.

Was short lived but the time we worked together was very productive. The app has given us some trouble, especially when using mobile devices, but switched to the computer and that helped. If I need to get therapy again I'll definitely be using this app.

It took me a few therapists to find the right one for me. The issue with the therapists who didn't work out wasn't just the lack of connection, but often the lack of care on their part. I think for many, BetterHelp is a second job or source for secondary income. There's nothing wrong with this fact, but I do feel many will not pour as much effort into their clients on this platform as they do to higher paying personal clients. That being said, now that I've found the perfect therapist, my experience has been incredible. I love the ability to message my therapist outside of sessions. She doesn't even have to respond all the time - it's nice to have someone to uninhibitedly write to when difficult situations or feelings arise. I haven't had much technological issues and BetterHelp is always ready to support me with anything. My therapist went on vacation a couple times and provided me contact info for BetterHelp administration to assist with either crediting or refunding me the weeks lost during vacation. All in all, BetterHelp is def worth it and effective IF you can find the right therapist for you. Which I guess is also true of getting therapy anywhere else. You need to put in the effort.

BetterHelp has helped me find a therapist (it took a while, but eventually we got there) with experience in treating trauma. No waiting lists and very fast response from admin. It’s still challenging to find time slots for us as Australian clients, but it’s definitely doable. Online therapy is less time consuming than face to face as I don’t need to travel, find parking and travel back home. BetterHelp communicates well and payments are easy. After 6 months of I’m still happy to say that this is a viable option for therapy and that it seems like something I would continue with.

Betterhelp has been a life saver for me. I did not resonate with the first therapist they chose for me and with the click of a button I got to choose someone better fit for my needs.

Prior to BetterHelp, I had never attended a therapy session or had a seen a therapist. I found the process of starting BetterHelp to be straight forward and easy to understand. My experience with my therapist was very excellent and helped greatly. The only downside to BetterHelp is the cost. It is a little pricey and most insurances won't help cover the costs.

I really am having a great experience. My therapist is super understanding and is a terrific listener. She gives great insight as well. The only reason I can't give BetterHelp a full 5 stars is because they don't take my insurance. Other than that, they are as great as their ad campaign!
