Great at taking money, bad at actually helping. Therapist 1: On her page said she did phone call sessions. Turns out she did not. I did not want to do a video on my first session. Therapist 2: Made the appointment, then messaged and saed he was not familiar with the platform scheduling. So...WorseHelp doesn't require therapists to know what they are doing? Paid for 2 weeks, they should definitely refund. (of course, I expect their standard response "Our terms of service says no refunds")

Spent 30 minutes with the questionnaire, due to invasive questions I had to justify. Just to find out that the price of therapy was disgustingly unreasonable for the region I live. Thanks for nothing showing me that help is only available for those in rich countries. Would hate to find out how much your therapists actually care if three quarters of the world pop simply can't afford mental help. I've seen how much you're paying them too. I hope someone sees this so they can find better help locally, that's what I'm going to do.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with a therapist on BetterHelp initials Y.S. After expressing serious concerns about how I was being treated during our sessions, she was removed from my case — but not once did she apologize or acknowledge the harm caused. I was never disrespectful, just honest and direct. Unfortunately, since her removal, BetterHelp has not reassigned me a new therapist, which puts me in a difficult position as I’m court-ordered to attend therapy. The most frustrating part is the silence. I submitted my concerns and expected at least a basic level of accountability or follow-up, but so far, nothing has been done to resolve it. I understand it’s only been a short time, but given the circumstances, this delay feels careless and disruptive. I’m sharing this review because people deserve to know what to expect. Therapy is supposed to be a safe and supportive space — not one where you’re dismissed and then left hanging without care or follow-through. I truly hope BetterHelp improves how it handles client complaints and therapist accountability moving forward.

Counsellor was typing and reading answers through my first 45 minute session. Obviously utilising Chat GPT so I guess I’ll just stick to that. They advised they would reach out to me but they didn’t.

I want to preface this message by saying that I have no doubt the therapists and mental health professionals working with BetterHelp are caring, qualified, and dedicated to helping people. This is not about them. However, I feel it is my responsibility to warn potential clients about the deeply unethical financial practices of the BetterHelp platform itself. I recently discovered that BetterHelp had been billing me $300+ per month for nearly three years, even though I canceled the service within days of signing up in March 2022. I received confirmation of my cancellation at that time—and a refund—but the charges resumed without my consent and continued for years without my knowledge. When I contacted them to request a full refund for these unauthorized charges, they only refunded six months and stated that this was the “maximum refund” they would offer, despite never having received services, logged in, or even having a credit card on file during much of this period. If this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. I’m sharing this because I believe people deserve transparency when choosing where to seek support. If you are considering BetterHelp, please proceed with caution. Check your billing statements carefully and frequently. Be sure to get written confirmation of all cancellations and screen-capture your account status. Horrible, absolutely horrible. If you want cliche internet bullshit, use BetterHelp! They assign insecure, inappropriate therapists that will feed the stupidity of the masses, but completely miss the point of appropriate, competent therapy. Avoid at all costs.

I saw a ad for better help for free quiz and drawn me in, at the end of the quiz it was asking me for my card details in which I refused to input. next thing i knew I was getting emails that I was was going to be matched with a therapist (which was odd) I replied to the message as it stated that I could ask questions, so I did but didn't get a reply, next 24 hours I was matched and to start talking to my therapist that I had not paid for, I looked at financial aid on the website and knew I wasn't really able to get it but offered 10% off (which I'm not paying for either) but only lasted a couple of days. basic signs for a scam, taking advantage of vulnerable people by forcing them to use a service they did not want, pretty disgusting tactics really no help looks like this, stay away seen betterhelp reply to my review about the emails I might of missed nope I got 2 this was the resent one to my inbox on 11/07/25 @ 16:12 after the trustpilot review Hello there, Thank you for your patience, and I'm sorry for any confusion. Also might want to change the word disocunts to discounts No one likes disocunts

Habe klar und deutlich im Formular gesagt was ich möchte, Berater sagt das er das nicht erfüllen kann, für mich ein viel zu holpriger Start in etwas, was ernst zu nehmen ist, deswegen hab ich auch nicht weitergemacht, 300€ in den Wind geschossen für nichts, nie wieder. Bin echt enttäuscht.
