Better Help has been a wonderful help to connect me with a therapist who is professionally trained and is kind, compassionate and very insightful, nonjudgmental and extremely helpful. Plus the cost is affordable and they offer financial aid to those who can’t afford the full cost. My therapist Dr. Kimberly Lewis goes at my pace and tailors valid tools and exercises to give what helps me the best. She has been a godsend to me and a great help. We do video, audio and messaging. BetterHelp Provides Top notch expertise & Quality Psychotherapeutic Care that is Efficient, Effective and Practical As someone who has been in therapy a few times in my nearly 6 decades of life, I can say with absolute certainty & full confidence that BetterHelp is by far a convenient professional therapeutic platform and cost effective vehicle through which I have received better, more useful & effective psychological counseling & therapy (utilizing science backed skills & strategies) in one month than I received out of multiple years of in person — one on one— psychotherapy sessions with individual psychologists & psychiatrists. BetterHelp (“BH”) provides quality counseling from licensed therapists and they do it remotely with procedures in place to ensure that your privacy and confidentiality is protected & preserved. Moreover, BH fits any busy schedule and is super convenient as you can choose to obtain your counseling from a licensed professional at BH via texting, voice calls, video calls or a combination of all three. You indicate the area of expertise/counseling you’re looking for and BH presents licensed psychologists along with their particular experience & expertises and you choose your therapist—which you are free to change at any time if you find the therapeutic relationship isn’t working for you! And, your appointments are easy to book. I had my first appointment within just a few days of joining BH. Also, Your therapist is always just a call or text away and prompt to respond. Mine responds well within 24 hours — (of course, if it’s an emergency response you need, you seek emergency help. To be clear, I’m talking about non-emergency situations where you could use your therapist’s expertise & quick guidance in between your weekly or bi-weekly or monthly sessions — whatever option you choose to fit your needs). I would be remiss if I didn’t also mention how invaluable I find BH’s various other therapeutic groups & even it’s educational courses on a multitude of topics in psychology—all backed by proven methods in behavioral science. I have found BH’s courses (some call them webinars) teach practical life applications of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as well as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). These are useful skill sets that you learn quickly & then get to practice in your life with the ability to discuss any challenges you may face in applying those skill sets to your life with your individual therapist if you like —giving you the opportunity to master them efficiently & effectively. The plan I have with BH provides me with 1 video session per week with my individual therapist (with unlimited texting availability), and if I choose to I can also participate in one group therapy session option per week (90 minutes) with a licensed psychologist as the group’s moderator (they offer a multitude of topics to choose group support on where you gain insights and perspectives from others also dealing with whatever you’re working on — all with professional guidance from the moderator). AND I also have the option to take any number of the many courses/educational webinars they offer each week — all inclusive; that is to say, the weekly group therapy session option and the unlimited access to the educational webinars are available to me at no extra charge. I unequivocally give BetterHelp 5 stars — and I speak from experience. They have provided me with quality services in an effective & efficient manner that I didn’t think was possible when it comes to psychotherapy— I believe otherwise now. It doesn’t have to take years of costly sessions filled with lots of frustration and a lack of clarity. In my opinion, BetterHelp is the Better Way!
