Therapy & a Tool Kit Thankful for my experience with Better Help! My therapist met me where I was at and provided me with tools to keep working on myself.

My experience has been this: BetterHelp matched me up with a therapist that is able to help me specifically with my unique needs. I did have to sift through their suggestions and still didn’t find what i was looking for in their therapist offerings, but when I emailed the BetterHelp team and explained what i was looking for in a therapist, they handpicked just the right person for me. Also, with my ADHD, I tend to forget or procrastinate. After traveling for a period of time and forgetting to pause my subscription payments because i was gone and not doing therapy at the time, i had a bill to pay for therapy I didn’t use. Their customer service team understood my challenge and applied the bill to my future sessions which I still want to use, and i feel so glad that I can use them and that money didn’t go to waste. Usually when you have mental health needs, it’s hard to advocate for yourself, and you accidentally even sabbatoge yourself by forgetting to schedule appointments, follow up, etc. Unlike other subscription services that can exploit these tendencies in vulnerable clients who are having a hard time, I’ve found that BetterHelp will go out of their way to help the client, and not exploit them. I was worried they wouldn’t refund or reapply my payment to future sessions, but I was SO happy they did! I will say that as a client, you do have to take responsibility to do your part. It’s not like BetterHelp can read your mind, or match you perfectly the first time. You need to read through profiles and think about what you need. If you don’t see what you need, reach out to the administrators through their contact email. They will get back to you within a day or two at the most. I’ve been so pleased with everything. Thanks.

Really good experience all around. I did go through a few therapist to find the match but once I did find a match, it was great. There’s nothing wrong with having to switch your therapist. If you don’t feel comfortable, feeling comfortable is the most important thing in the therapy and finding that person you feel comfortable with is so important and that’s what’s so great about this. Sidenote - I did contact the customer service and they were timely, gracious and kind. Overall, I think this is a really great app and I would highly recommend it to all my friends and my family.

I have been very pleased with BetterHelp so much that I have 2 other family members I have recommended to services and they are now thriving as well. I wish the response time was a little quicker when an appointment is rescheduled but my therapist has helped with that l.

Convenient and I am confident in my therapist. I like that I can do it over the phone or video. I enjoy the tasks that have to complete and the journals I am able to write.

BetterHelp is a fantastic resource and I highly recommend it to anyone. You are matched to a counselor who is knowledgeable, understanding and capable. They truly care. I have been using them for about a month now and have nothing but great things to say and it is well-deserved! I have had other experiences with other companies, and this is hands down the best I have experienced. Not only do I recommend it to anyone, but everyone!
