I really liked how Better Help was easy to sign up for and made scheduling an appointment quite simple as well. I live in a rural area, and I was offered a discounted rate as well. I tried to get therapy through my healthcare provider, but was rejected because my issues were “not severe enough”. I liked how Better Help didn’t care about that.

I matched first time with a really great therapist for me, and we've been talking for 11 months now. I find the video chat a really useful platform as there's no travel to add time or difficulty or resistance to my appointment. The messaging system has been great, and when I went through a very dark period I was able to easily access emergency appointments, additional monitoring for my own safety, and to check in daily directly with my therapist through the messaging system. This additional support made a huge difference in time of crisis, and helped me get safe fairly quickly, and then to continue on my journey until I ultimately have been very Well for a consistent period. I continue to see my therapist as a proactive way of maintaining my - now good - mental health I'd really recommend Better Help, not just for my own excellent therapist (Dawn Redwood), but also for the convenience and additional support the platform allows.

I was not sure of joining because it may be too expensive but it is not. They have financial assistance which goes a long way on top of the fact that the influencers I follow are sponsored by betterhelp I was also able to obtain discounts that way. I was matched with a therapist after 24 hrs and I love that if I do not wish to continue working with the therapist I have I can switch to someone else. The platform is straightforward to use, you can join classes daily about thousands of different subjects and my favorite feature on the app and website is the journal I can free style what I want to write or I can get a suggestion from betterhelp. I joined 90 days ago and hope to continue my journey to improve my mental health.
