Payment structure feels like theft
Payment structure feels like theft. Working on grief, I pay monthly & wanted to stop my payment for the next month but that ends membership immediately, effectively I'll lose two pre-booked sessions this month effectively £120! Membership should end at the end of the month I've paid for. It's super $hitty they do this. So Betterhelp - Do Not recommend.

Hi Jaxx, Apologies for any confusion -- your membership does not end immediately after canceling. You get to continue using the service as normal until the current billing cycle expires! Guilt you for cancelling when you can’t pay
I went through the entire enrollment process just to find out they don’t actually accept Aetna after all. When I went to unsubscribe, the button was a big bold red button that said, “Quit Therapy”. Mind you I was crying while having to do this because I’ve started to become hopeless trying to find help. This is a deplorable practice for a therapy clinic. Any other website that wants to guilt you, fine. But really BetterHelp? Guilting those who have to cancel because they can’t pay out of pocket? Shame on you, seriously. Be human and get your developers to change that. Not a very respectable marketing tactic.

Poor payment structure
I’m sure the counselling is fine, but the payment structure is tantamount to theft. Monthly cost of £260 taken by dd. If you are unable to use the services during the month, no fees roll forward, or refunds due just another £260 out of your account. They sell the services offered based on making counselling affordable, but in essence are taking advantage of the most vulnerable in society. Shame on you

Hi Jon, Our Member Success team is actually available via email to provide extensions to an active billing cycle if there are issues scheduling desired live sessions. FAKE Positive Reviews
"We will reply in 1 to 2 business days!" I've waited 6. I was charged $260 and didn't receive any service whatsoever. When you call BH's number, the people PRETENDING to be from BH are actually a 3rd party called Notify MD. BH DOES NOT disclose this anywhere. They will steal your money, give you no service, and no way of contacting them. Many of the positive reviews on TrustPilot ARE FAKE. Praying for ANOTHER class action against this dishonest thieving company.

Not worth the money
The options of therapists on Better Help is much worse than other platforms or individual therapists. In addition, they bombard you with notifications for every session, daily texts and emails beforehand and many on the day. It’s this or deactivate them altogether. When I cancelled I had my last session planned but my therapist cancelled and I was unable to reschedule since my contract expired. No goodwill was shown, only a request to reactivate.

Auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen. Die „Therapeuten“ haben zum Teil keine Ahnung. Da Hilft einem der beste Freund mehr. Man hat auch eine Chat Funktion und meine Nachrichten gingen immer unter. Des Weiteren sollte ich nur von meinem Alltag erzählen und wenn ich nichts zu erzählen hatte, dann hat die „Therapeutin“ einfach die Sitzung beendet, weil sie einfach nicht qualifiziert war. Sie wollte mir auch Arbeitsmaterial zukommen lassen, hat es aber nie geschafft. Preis/Leistung miserabel. Betterhelp ist es auch egal. Ich hab mit dem Support geschrieben.

So far not good
So far not good. I was lead to believe that this lot would help with couples counselling but now they are telling me that a company call Regain deal with this and its extra money to be with them! They have not been honest. Its an American set up and not good.

You are not required to pay for a BetterHelp membership AND a Regain membership; you'd pay for one membership to Regain for both you and your partner to use.
