Great experience, great support from my therapist. Only issues is the high fee charged monthly. Even with a small discount, it is still difficult to manage in this economic climate.

When I needed it most, but was struggling to get outside, Betterhelp connected me with real people, however I was comfortable. I thought I would only want messaging, but I'm so glad one of the therapists insisted on trying a video call because it's so helpful. If you don't like the therapist, or want to try a different approach, it's easy to look for someone else and book an appointment. They are also offering a lot of group therapy and class based things now which are really varied and seem helpful for many different issues. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because it is a bit pricey.

i have been speaking to my therapist for a couple of months now and it has been great. I am in Ireland and she is in the UK. She has really helped me to see things from a different perspective and has helped me to get a hold on my anxiety. the only thing i think that would bring it up to 5 stars would be the ability to schedule fortnightly instead of having to have weekly sessions. otherwise i think this is a great service

I am only removing one star due to the high cost, not the quality of my therapist. I feel I was perfectly matched with my therapist. The message function was a great way for my therapist to check in with me during weeks where I could not video her. Even with financial assistance, the app is still too expensive.

The therapists are very good, especially Dr. Anderson!!!! Unfortunately, I don’t like the way the Better Help portal works - I think updated computer programming code would provide a better portal experience for the Client’s involved.

Update: Betterhelp has reimbursed me everything I paid, for which I thank them and thus change the ranking to four starts. I leave the original review below Had a very disappointing experience. Firstly you are charged on a four-week basis and my therapist managed to be available only on week three! What is even more frustrating is that for the next session I the website would be completely glitchy. I would try over and over to book a session but it would simply not work. Not to mention the app that simply doesn't work - I can see my history of messages but that's it - neither messaging with the therapist nor scheduling is working. So in the end I paid 450 USD for one session, got myself through frustration and anger in a period when I was emotionally compromised. I am now worse off psychologically, and 450 dollars down, thanks betterhelp! Nice idea but glitches made it a nightmare.

Better Help, it’s a great way to find a therapist that works with your specific needs. They have such a large number of therapist that they work with that they were able to match me with the therapist that really is excellent and understands exactly what I’m going through. The monthly subscription type plan was not always a good fit for me. I do wish they had an option to schedule less frequent visits with a therapist as needed. But overall the platform works great. I love the flexibility of the online one on one sessions.
