absolutely horrible and scammy.
absolutely horrible and scammy. they will offer lower rates the more you decline and the process is so unprofessional, not to mention their couples therapy side of the company different name and even worse. don’t waste your time.

PLEASE DO NOT USE BETTERHELP
PLEASE DO NOT USE BETTERHELP! Betterhelp is a waste of time and money. The issue with this platform is that they are a tech company and mental health is at the bottom of their priorities. They match you with therapists but there is no control over what these therapists do. I paid $180 dollars over two weeks just to have my therapist not join the live when I schedule a session, nor did she give me any sort of worksheets that she said she would give. The worst part is theres nothing you can do on betterhelp to complain about this other than contacting customer service which is a nightmare in itself. I can't afford to be paying this money, let alone have people taking it from me without providing any of the services they say they would provide. This platform is nothing more than fancy software.

Making bereavement worse
I was due to have my first bereavement video session this am - but it really was not made clear how the video contact would be managed. I e mailed the therapist 5 minutes before our meeting but I did not receive a reply. I fear I may have been scammed.

They are a VERY aggressive market team…
They are a VERY aggressive marketing team under they guise of therapy, once they have your info they very aggressively start charging your account. You cannot get in touch with them and they will not cooperate with clients in any way. They need to STOP taking advantage of people that are asking for help....

Charged me $260 without permission
Went because I need to talk to someone asap. They make you sign up before you can access the platform. There was a $65 a month option, I agree to that and paid. Then I see that it will take days just to get a therapist, okay, sucks for me, but fair. Then I look at my phone and I was charge $260 instead of $65. Suppppper great for my mental health, thank you for infinitely making the problem worse. Oh and if you call they just open a case, so no, they haven't refunded or even agreed to refund me.

Apologies for any confusion surrounding the membership offer! We have a $65/week plan (billed every 4 weeks), meaning you pay $260 upfront for 4 weeks of service. We can certainly see how this would be jarring if you had thought the charge would be $65 for the month. Our phone service creates a ticket with our Member Success team who will reply to you via email, based on the address you provided on the call. That said, I've also requested the email address linked to your account here through Trustpilot so that our management team can reach out to you directly (in case this has not already been resolved by our team).

Very unhelpful
Unhelpful. Difficult to schedule appointments, and one session was cancelled at late notice. (I would have been charged £15) Slow response when messaging therapist. I had two sessions in my first month so I cancelled the subscription. £108 per session! Thank goodness I got a discounted intro rate. I’ll find a proper therapist.
