I have not used their service and was under the impression that I'd have a 7 day trial before being charged. I was charged £140 directly and since I've raised a claim with my bank, I'm now locked from using my account and therefore any of their services. They also claimed that they are unable to issue a refund for 'security reasons'. STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THOSE WHO NEED HELP. If they truly believed in their platform then they would deal with situations like these cordially, especially if it's a case where the user hasn't even utilised any of their services.

SCAM. My friend was scanned by this, charged $268 without even using service. Preying on people who genuinely need help. All positive reviews sound made up.

I hardly ever got a response. I didnt get a single message that would react directly to what I wrote, I only got very general messages. I told the therapist about it and he didnt answer. The charging system was misleading. Very bad experience!

The most invasive and annoying digital ads - STOP THE SPAM

Once a day response and cost 260$. I thought I was going to pay 355 a month not 260 a month. This a scam.

Borderline psychological malpractice. They walk you down through all the steps to the point where you think you're going to get help, and have an actual counsellor talking to you in a chat window, and only THEN do they tell you their prices, which, to say the least, are not the steeply discounted rates their advertising would suggest. The payment screen pops up when you push the "enter" button after typing your first message. I realise that this company is not a charity, and that the therapists' salary has to come from somewhere. But the least that Betterhelp could do would be to be up-front about the costs before you spend an hour signing up and getting matched with therapists. The way they currently do it just brings people's hopes up that they might actually get some help, and then abruptly crushes them. That's not exactly helpful to somebody struggling with mental health issues.

BetterHelp has a lot of problems. The video session service kept breaking and the support representatives couldn't resolve the issue. Bills for counseling services were advertised as monthly but BetterHelp secretly defines a month as four weeks in order to shave a few days of service away from customers. And I went through close to ten counselors without seeing one who had of experience with career related issues, even though that was the main type of expertise I requested help with.

The Worst Customer Service! Dealing with their customer service to receive a refund has been a nightmare! We have sent more than 3-4 emails and still not received an adequate response.
