This website definitely seems like a SCAM. I have been charged and have never seen a therapist. I tried to log on. Had sooo many issues but finally was able to reset my password and so I logged on 5 mins passed my session time... Only to find the therapist was now "unavailable" and I would have to reschedule but of course, still be charged...

This place is absolutely terrible. I signed up and they assigned me a counselor who wanted an early morning appointment. I wrote back asking for a different counselor with a different schedule and they basically kicked me out of the program with no explanation whatsoever. I begged them to tell me what I did to get kicked off the program and they would not tell me. I even asked him if they sure it was me they were kicking off and they said yes but offered no explanation. Refusing to help people and not giving them any other avenues is a travesty. I have never been treated like that in my life by a anybody let alone a counselor. VERY disappointed in better help.

So far I'm disappointed. I'm new to this service and still working with them. Hoping they can fix this issue. I need someone who will work with me and my ESAs and that's a no go from my therapist. I also asked for a non-religious female counselor and I got a Christian male one instead. I may end up losing my emotional support animals because of this service. How can someone help heal past trauma when they are adding to the trauma?

Most classes and sessions are scheduled on east coast time. Since I'm on the west coast that made all the classes and seminars that I wanted to be part of happen at 7am and impossible to join. The website has quotations sprinkled throughout from neoconservatives like Brian Tracy. betterhelp claims to help LGBTQ+ clients but quotations from founders of think tanks that backed Trump and created Focus on the Family makes betterhelp an unsafe space for LGBTQ+ people.

Don't waste your time with these incompetent jokers. They'll deny you counseling and give you vague reasons, such as "it wouldn't be ethical" or "you don't seem like a good fit for online counseling". but press them to explain and they hide like cowards. they also told me i wasn't being charged since i didn't yet have a counselor, yet i received a refund for my 220$, so that whole you're not paying until you get a counselor is bs. can't refund me if you haven't taken my money yet. To anyone and everyone seeking mental health services, don't waste you're time on this mickey mouse garbage. Spend your money on a legitimate and competent mental health service, not these scrubs.

I joined this service and they immediately charged me $280. It costs $70 a week and my first appointment with a counselor was scheduled by him a week later (so the first week was a waste of money). I got several text messages and emails reminding me of my appointment. Once I was there the counselor never showed up. You cannot contact this company except through a message service. They took my complaint and said that someone would get back to me. No one did. Online I was able not to renew my service, but I wasted $280. Lol, I joined for stress and anxiety, but this counseling service created stress and anxiety and loss of money.

Before you do business with this company read all the non-invited reviews. All the negative feedback is the true story for their customer service. The counselor I had was great, however, their payment system is very misleading and customer service is deplorable. All I wanted to do was pay for 4 sessions and finish them then decide if I wanted to proceed with more. They deleted my account and refunded me the money they owed me and left me without a therapist. The people who run this company don't really care about your mental health [the councilors do] Be very careful

Absolut scam! I booked better help in the search of a councelor and payed for a whole month, now Im three weeks in and I have still not found a councelor that adressed my needs and was responsive! It seems like the employees of betterhelp are overworked and dont have the sessions as a high priority for them. When I finally found a councillor she only responded with copy paste messages and didnt address my questions at all. When I asked her to respond quickly and not two days later she gave a ton of personal excuses which is very unprofessional. If you really want help I think there are way better options out there! But Im proud of you for considering getting help! I hope you are doing better soon!
