I'm astonished that there are any positive reviews about Betterhelp. They don't find you a 'match' with a counsellor and only found me someone when I cancelled my account. The counsellors do not reply to messages. There is very little availability for live sessions even though you pay throughout the lack of availability. The app has many issues and you get unhelpful generic replies to technical problems. Very few positives to Betterhelp but they do offer reduced charges if you are on a lower income.

This is an amazing program and found an amazing therapist. But being charged monthly even if you don’t visit on a regular began to get expensive. If you charge a monthly fee and the patient does go those visits should be banked for when they are needed. No disapear from week to week and a new charge made at the begin of each month. There should be a weekly pay option.

They are very helpful, still it did not take me anywhere. I tried three therapists, in more and more desperation. Half an hour long sessions are just too short to get anywhere, by the time l would warm up to it, we are already in the good-byes. Also, somehow it is too "American" for me, l did not feel l had time to speak, l was more told what to do. I felt lonely and misunderstood often in the sessions. The team was helpful in changing the therapists, offering a price deduction due to the delays in finding the right person.

I have a great therapist but it does feel like better help costs a lot. I don’t know how long I can be paying this much a month, but I really like my therapist.

I was not expecting my father to pass and had started therapy beforehand when he had told me he was a little ill. When things happened my 1st therapist took off on holiday leaving me with 2 weeks paying for nothing, after that I didn't know what to say. Tried again that therapist then cancelled ended up busy on the day rearranged. By the end of it, I just felt indecisive and strung along and like I'm wasting good money on something I might get instead from Cruse bereavement counselling.

This was my second time meeting with her, she’s nice and is a good listener.

I subscribed to the company after seeing their advertisement for a discounted rate during the first month. However, upon subscribing, I did not receive the promised discount. Additionally, the quality of the therapist provided was severely lacking. They were extremely late for the first meeting and then failed to show up for the second appointment altogether. There was no effort made to reschedule or communicate the cancellation, which is highly unprofessional conduct on their part. Moreover, the platform itself is not very reliable, as it presents numerous problems with its interface. Customer service promptly refunded me the balance of my payment after I complained so I bumped up my rating.

I like that they matched me with an awesome therapist... I dislike the fact that betterhelp is not covered by my insurance and even though its not the price of a typical therapist office, it still is pricey for me. However, they do offer lower payments and assistance so it does make it worth it.
