I'm don't think I can write this without crying. There are not enough praises that I can give for this experience. I have been heavy my entire life. I am 48 yrs.old. and decided to take back my life! I had sleeve surgery 2/22/19 and just 26 days later I am down 23 lbs. I am beyond happy right now. I've had the most positive experience of my life. From my first conversation with my patient facilitator Jessica my heart was lightened. She answered every question I had and stayed in contact with me throughout the entire process, and even now checks in. When you make a life changing decision like this you may have reservations, but had zero. That was largely due to the care, help, concern and warmth that I was shown by the entire staff at Beliteweight. It didn't stop there though. The knowledgeable doctors and staff at the hospital were fantastic and on top of their game. Accommodations were absolutely 5 star! Being that I traveled alone I wasn't sure what to expect, I'm mean it's Mexico right. Wrong! If I had any reservations (which I didn't) they quickly dissolved as soon as I arrived. I can't say enough when it comes to the compassion and the truly genuine care that was shown. Overall please please don't wait another week or month or year to take back your life! Seriously, I will be willing to hold anyone's hand on this journey. ~Kandius

First let me say, remember when doing this you are in another country. Be prepared for a language barrier. With that said, I am a Lapband revision to gastric sleeve. Being I had issues with my Lapband after 5 years, I felt it was time to get it out. I had lost about 45lbs but found I was not losing anymore. I knew if I had the band taken out, my weight would come back, so I opted to go with the sleeve. I am currently about 3 weeks post surgery now. I started at 187. My surgery was 2/14/2019 and to date I’m down to 174. So far so good. The post op diet has been the hardest part. Has made me a bit cranky. Now to start from the beginning of this journey, I found BeLiteWeight when an ad came up after I searched for alternatives to the band. After contacting a bariatric doctor in the states and finding it would cost me over $16,000 to have the same procedure done, I opted to go with BeLiteWeight. I was contacted by facilitator Jessica. What a sweetheart. She was very informative and helped me through the million questions I had. With tensions high along the border towns I was a bit nervous. I decide against Tijuana and went to Juárez instead. I’m so glad I did. The transition over the border was seamless. Once at Hospital Angeles, I got thru admissions with no lanugage barriers. Once situated in my room, it was a little time and I was taken in for pre-tests and got all that out of the way (I recommend arriving a day before your procedure). I was able to have my normal meal the day before. On surgery day, I was taken in and given a mild sedative to relax me. Unfortunately, there was a delay in getting me in so it kinda wore off and there was a bit of a language barrier in that area of the hospital. It was ok though. Finally, we made the way into the surgery area, seemed like a lot of people in there which made me a little uneasy, but I was knocked out fast. Next thing I knew I was in recovery. Felt like I could hardly breath but I guess that was normal. And DONT be afraid to ask for nausea meds or pain meds. One thing they were good at was making sure I was comfortable. The staff was all very nice and despite any language barriers we seemed to communicate just fine. Because of my previous band, Dr Rodriquez had to remove a lot of scar tissue from inside my abdomen so i was in a lot of pain. Thankfully, the day after my surgery I was able to take a shower, but it was interrupted by the clogging of the drain and it filled my room full of water. That was a treat, then that night the water wasn’t working at all. No flushing the toilet. Remember it was México. Other than that all went pretty smooth. I recommend taking a couple wash clothes as those are not provided. And there is only one English speaking tv channel and it’s mostly news. Mylanta is a great way to help relief the gas pain that you WILL have. And my biggest recommendation is WALK, WALK, WALK. That is super important to get the CO2 out of your system. Don’t be afraid to burp and fart as much as you can. Overall I am so happy I had the band removed and had the sleeve done. From start to finish it was a pretty seamless ordeal. And when I left, the cab driver knew a short cut thru the border so it went fast. Just make sure you allow 2-4 hrs before your flight to get thru the border just in case. The border guard will ask for your medications and passport or ID so have it ready. If I had to do this all over again I would. I was nervous in the beginning and now realize it was all unfounded.

This company was absolutely awesome. They were fabulous as far as callbacks keeping us informed and helping us weave our way through the financial part of having surgery. Everything went exactly as scheduled. Communication with Transportation were great rides were there as expected and on time, the doctor and his team were great! The hospital was very clean. However you must understand that things are a bit different going to a foreign country. There's no HIPAA, translation was a little difficult but the nurses were wonderful as far as speaking into their phones and having it translated it into English for us. I would highly recommend not going by yourself but having someone with you to help you along after surgery. In particular I'd like to thank Joanne and Jamie and of course the others for all their help I'm down 70 lb so far and loving it!

I was skeptical at first when I initially called Belite and ended up canceling and went to a different medical tourism company, I then started doing some deeper research and found the other company I was going to go through was not a good choice so I did more research on Belite and the Doctors and hospital and found the doctors to be highly qualified as well as the hospital to be a state of the art medical facility so I called back Belite Weight and got my surgery scheduled, I was a bit nervous to go out of the country to have surgery however I went through with it and do not regret it, I had a VSG on February 21, 2019 and am doing great!, Everyone from my facilitator with Belite Jessica Espina who was very kind and helpful, to the Surgeons, anesthesiologist and all the hospital staff were so kind and made me feel comfortable, I would definitely say I would do it again through Belite Weight they made the process painless, so don't put it off call Jessica Espina and get it started!

Wow what a wonderful amazing experience from start to finish Joy was my contact and I had very little to do stress free she arranged my pickup on arrival and driver was great,admission into hospital was simple no long wait and what a awesome hospital clean and staff friendly so professional,surgery team outstanding I would and have recommended
