My experience was great from start to finish

Like most people looking into surgery in Mexico I was a little scared and hesitant. Fortunately, my surgery coordinator Jessica was so patient and helpful. Heck I scheduled and cancelled surgery 2 times before finally committing to following though. Most people would of discarded me, but not Jess. In an effort to help others understand the process I went through I want to share how my experience went: -I flew in to El Paso the night before my ride across the border (Amigos Transport). I stayed the night by the airport. -I hopped in my taxi at 10:00 AM the next day and was across the border and at the hospital within 30 minutes. The drive there was a great experience and not what I expected. I thought I was going to see tons of metal shacks and card board boxes with tons of poverty stricken people. Not the case at all! First off the road to the hospital ran right along the border so I could look at El Paso any time I wanted. However, I was drawn to all the new construction. There was lots of new condos, very familiar fast food restaurants (Hardees, Subway, McDonalds). Honestly it looked like any other city in the US. -When we arrived to the hospital I was impressed. First off the hospital and parking lot is enclosed with a tall wrought iron fence (not chain link with razor wire), there was a guard at the front entrance screening all of those who entered. -The hospital itself is is newer, very colorful, marble floors, and very clean. -Check-in/Registration was a breeze, and they seemed to be expecting me, so that was nice. -I was then escorted up to the floor I would be staying on and was greeted by the nursing staff. They were in all white and were all smiles. There English was not the greatest (My only complaint, because sometimes it was a little challenging to communicate, but nothing major). -The room was very nice. It had a flat screen TV (Only 1 channel was in English, bring phone or tablet for Netflix). Wifi is available for free. Bathroom was in all marble and nice. The futon bed for spouses was handy and nice. Lastly the view was very nice. -Overall care was to be expected, and everyone was kind and competent. I will let you know they do some things a little different than in the states (Thermometer under the arm), but the results were the same. -After all of my pre-surgery tests were done I was visited by the Drs, and in came a team of 3 Drs. led by a Mexican Tom Selleck (Dr. Rodriguez). I had never felt safer and more assured. Bedside manner was excellent. -Surgery, was a breeze. The anesthesiologist was amazing and so comforting (I was pretty scared). -After surgery was a little rough just like any surgery. First day you are still pretty groggy and want to sleep. Best thing you can do is walk as much as you can to get rid of all the gas (Gas was most painful part). -Discharge - If given the option to ride across or walk across, I recommend walking. Riding across can take up to 4 hours to cross, and just after surgery and with your body trying to acclimate, being stuck in a car with 4 strangers for 4 hours is nor recommended. To walk across the bridge was so fast. The taxi dropped me and 3 other ladies off on Mexico side, and we walked across to the US side and was cleared and on the way to the airport in 20 minutes. I needed to walk anyway, so it was good all around. -2 weeks post-op - I am completely pain free, most of my bruising is gone, and I am finally eating real food again. Already down 15-20 lbs. I think surgery in Mexico was a very smart choice for me. I received as good or better surgical care at a fraction of the cost in the states. Those that are scared to come to Mexico, I would say it is OK to be scared, but be brave and be smart. Come with your eyes open and be smart, and everything will be just fine. There must of been 20 different patients during my stay getting a similar procedure. A place that places its patients at risk would not be in business very long, and they have been doing this for years. A great experience and no regrets!!!! Shane (Wichita, KS)

My experience with BeLiteWeight Services was an excellent experience. They prepared me for everything that was going to happen before, during and after my surgery. Dr. Rodriguez and Dr. Elmo were everything I expected them to be. The hospital stay was exceptional and very clean along with the staff that took very good care of us. If I had any problems or concerns after my surgery Dr. Rodriguez and staff were very fast in responding to any of my needs. I would definitely recommend BeLightWeight,Dr. Rodriguez and Dr. Elmo to anyone that was thinking about having the gastric sleeve done. If I ever had to do any procedure like this again I would definitely use them again. Their the best and I fully recommend this team.

I would absolutely recommend Beliteweight. The care that I received both Stateside and in Mexico is far better than I have received in US hospitals in the last several years. Go for it, change your life.

I did a lot of reasearch before deciding where I wanted to have my surgery. I have insurance but my insurance does not cover these types of procedures and out of pocket in the US was extremely expensive. I was worried, very worried about going to Mexico to have WLS. I called and talked to Jessica Espina and was not sold. It was nothing that she did or didn't do, it was all the horror stories I found myself reading online that terrified me. I waited about a week and called Jessica back. She sent me so much information on the doctors, the hospitals as well as previous clients stories including her own. It made me feel so much better knowing real people were out there. I talked it over with my husband but knew I wanted to do it. Mind you, I live in San Diego and am really close to the Tijuana border. The doctors I found in Tijuana didn't put my nerves at ease the way Jessica did. She was absolutely AMAZING! Arriving in El Paso and being picked up to be driven across the border to a hospital in Mexico was also a little scary. The horror stories started coming back to mind. The driver I had was so nice and made me feel better. The hospital and the staff were all very nice and expremely helpful. Some of them didnt speak english but had these apps on their phones that would translate so it was no issue at all. I'm currently 5 months post op and feel amazing. Best decision I could have made. I would recommend BeLiteWeight to anyone. Jessica was great, was there every step of the way. Answered ALL my questions and concerns.

Jamie was awesome, a huge help to orient us on the up coming trip and afterwards. Also, they were very honest in refunding me for over payment. I would definitely recommend Jamie to help anyone that wants a permanent answer to the weight loss/gain yo-yo. Thanks again.
