The tip of my knife was bent The blade is so flimsy it can’t maintain its shape. They saw my review and replaced my knife. Now that’s what I call good customer service. Thank you Beavercraft!!

I ordered a spoon carving kit that included a whittling knife, a leather strap, a stick of some resin or something that helps with the sharpening process with the strap, and most importantly, a hook knife. I ordered this kit a little over a month ago, and just now while carving a piece of softwood for a small spoon, the hook knife snapped in half while barely pressing it into the soft wood. I ended up getting cut down the side of my wrist from it flying up into the air. I’m glad I wear safety goggles while carving any wood, since that experience could have been much much worse. Also, I ordered a gouge on October 7th I believe, and it was supposed to be delivered to he on the 15th. It is now November 1st while I am writing this and I still have yet to receive my gouge or a refund for my missing item. I will not be ordering from Beavercraft again. They might be one of the most affordable companies when it comes to beginner woodcrafting, but the quality of the tools and the inability of them to get the products they sell to their customers without giving any explanation or even offer a refund/replacement just shows me this company cannot be trusted with your money. The low price might be enticing, but the lack of accountability from the company makes them a sup-par choice to send your money to. I doubt they will allow this review to be seen, so I will be writing even more reviews on other websites so others might also see this experience and make their own informed decisions on where to buy their woodcrafting tools.

Beaver Craft knives are great for beginners and just whittling around. They perform very well carving softer woods such as bass wood. They are easy to sharpen and maintain their edge well, but need to be sharpened more often than some of the better known knives if you're carving harder woods. They're great and I use them as much as I do some of my other knives. My Beaver Craft knives are usually the first one I pick up when I whittle.

Love the tools and the box, the instructions could have been alot more detailed, if I hadn’t found a local carving class to teach me the basics I would not have known what to do. It has been very fun though to make.
