Barclay deserves -100 stars. Barclay needs to learn. “ MONEY GOES WHERE IT’S TREATED BEST.” I’ve had the card for 13 years. I barely use it after they dropped the ball with $11K in merchant fraud back in 2020. It’s a low income card for people with bad credit. Certainly, not the caliber of card or company. That someone with 800+ FICO. Would bother with.

UPDATE: Found a place to send the "FAX" and, after 2 weeks and $20 expended, the Pony Express has not delivered the documents. Waist of time and money! This is the worst customer service I've seen in my life. I made a chargeback because the merchant never refunded my money after receiving a return, showed the proof of delivery and emails confirming receipt and Barclays resolution was against me because they showed a picture of the package in front of a door. I never said I did not receive it, my claim is that I returned it and they never credited my account. To continue with the claim and get my money back, Barclays asked me to send a "FAX" to a number that did not work. I've been working with this for 3 days now and, at this point, I think I will better to lose the money than keep fighting with the powerful corporations.

I took out a Barclays RCI Mastercard because of the 6 months no interest promotion. Just to be charged interest on the first 2 bills totaling $477.56. The 1st bills interest was $279.56 and the 2nd months interest was $198. I called customer service several times about it to be treated rudely and denied the interest fee reversal. I insisted my account be reviewed by a supervisor. Finally after speaking to several supervisors the 1st months interest was reversed. I paid the card off the next week in full which was over $11k just because I was tired of calling them. The next bill cycled days later and they charged me $198 interest fee on a card that had a zero balance! I called them again, argued with a customer service rep before asking to speak with a supervisor again. Again supervisor agreed I should not have been charged interest on a card with no balance. They vowed to reverse interest charges again. This card has been a headache from the time I opened the account. I spend numerous hours on the phone with customer service reps trying to get the errors on my bill corrected. Then I have to follow up again next month just to make sure it does not happen again. Since I have a zero balance I think I will close this account. Too many problems with billing errors, charging me interest on 6 months no interest account, and incompetent customer service reps.

Barclays Bank is the worst ever.. they caused me to lose 600.00 because they can’t understand then or they are just plain stupid I am cancelling my account with them I have never had worst customer service Do not back with them Terrible terrible

3rd time trying to make a payment by phone. Completely impossible without computer or text. Terrible representative. Ann 5/7/2026 @ 645 PM horrible service. Probably AI. SO SAD ELDERLY CAN NOT MAKE A SIMPLE PAYMENT! CLOSING ACCOUNTANT DO TO POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. 😢

tried to provide a credit document from hotel for $183 and barclays refuses to process it. very black & white case. slam dunk.

I should've looked at these reviews before applying for this credit card. Their customer service is useless! Avoid if possible.

I spent over 100K last year with Barclays Card. I have a simple issue with a dispute of $500.00. The Customer Service Rep refused to be of any help and refused to allow me to speak with anyone else, except that someone will call you within 72 hours. The problem is that I bought a Dryer that was meant to be for overseas but the retailer deceived me in selling me an appliance that is not suited for what was asked for. They have the appliance in their possession but want to give me Store credit, when this was reported to them within two hours. Barclays did not call me for evidence but just closed the case. Very poor customer service
