We have had Mastercards for about 15 years. We live overseas, and that was one of the reasons for the initial application. In January, due to a suspicious charge (for flight tickets), the card was blocked. We switched our phone number because Skype went out of business. We are unable to unblock our card because we don't have the original number. It's not been 4 months, 3 faxes, and 3 letters of the required identity documents, with still no resolution. 1800.00 Has been credited to the account and we don't have access. It's such poor service after 15 phone calls.

Zero customer service help, twice requested to reverse charges with no help. Very hard to communicate with customer service. Definitely vendor friendly.

Customer services lies to customer. When you have an issue they do not fix the situation they just leave it for the customer to deal with. Their rewards program is trash. Would not recommend. Ive been dealing with an issue for 6 months and there is no resolution other than I have to deal with it

I DIDN'T EVEN SIGN UP FOR THIS CARD. I HAD A GM CARD AND THEY SWITCH ME TO THIS CRAP AND THEN CUT MY CREDIT FROM 3000 TO 250. I'LL PUT IT ON THE SHELF WITH A ZERO BALACE AND USE THEM FOR POSITIVE CREDIT. USE THEM NOT THE CARD!!! AVOID AT ALL COST.

$500 credit limit and they still ding you for a $30 payment they did not billed me. I carry $500 in my pocket and sure don’t need this idiots.

I had a Barclays Gold Credit Card for about 10 years. The customer service initially was excellent. They offered many perks such as nice yearly gifts, entrance into premiere airport lounges, and reasonably rated limo service to and from the airport. Within the last year or so, I noticed customer service declining, fraud charges on my card not investigated thoroughly. Finally, I became so frustrated that I just closed my account. With the yearly membership fee being what it is, no one should be treated like that. And, with these fraudulent charges, it screams inside job to me.

By far the absolute worst credit card and decision I ever made in opening a GM Rewards card!!! Do not and I mean do not open a GM Rewards card as the Barclays Credit Card is one of the worst things you could ever do. I have great credit and they provided me with an excellent credit line! But within 3 days of starting to use my Credit Card I was flagged and became mandated to prove my identity! The small rewards to put towards a GM brand car are NOT worth the pain of opening a Barclays Account!!! Stay far far far way for this horrible company! Do not do business in the US and issue credit cards if you are going to put consumers through the agony that I have gone through!

Do not get involved with Barclays US credit card if you have a choice. Originally, I ended up with Barclays as my original card was sold to Barclays. I just got off the phone with a poor fellow about my balance, being charged a late fee even though my payment WAS NOT LATE, Having my Credit limit reduced suddenly and I couldn't find AY documentation on this - not on website. Mistakes on how much I had paid so it looked like I had made a double payment. (I didn't). Completely unethical and unacceptable customer experience.
