I had to cancel my cake within less…
I had to cancel my cake within less than 24 hours and they refused to give me a full refund, took $180 for their cancellation policy when my cake was only $150, I immediately told my baker when I had to cancel and she had no problem with it, it wasn’t even enough time frame for the cake to even be started, I ordered the cake at 9:30 at night and by 9 in the morning I had to cancel. My friend got covid which is why I had to cancel and they requested I give them my friends personal medical Info to prove it. Very rude business.

Hi Samantha, You placed a last-minute order with less than 3 days to your event date. Last-minute orders have a ‘Strict’ cancelation policy, which means there are no refunds. You were shown the cancelation policy during checkout and you agreed to the policy when you placed your order. Its important to point out that custom cakes are handcrafted, made-to-order and perishable. There is a lot of work that goes into planning, ordering supplies & refining the design right after you place your order. Furthermore, your cake artist declines any new orders for your event date & time to ensure they can focus on your order. This is why we are unable to offer refunds for last-min order cancelations. However, considering your unique circumstances, we offered to make an exception and refund 100% of your payment if you submit a valid COVID report. Since you did not submit a valid COVID report, we refunded your tip amount and issued a credit worth 100% of your balance payment. You can use this credit for any order on BakeStreet within the next 6 months. We believe this to be a fair resolution and hope you’ll give us a chance to serve you again. Thanks, The BakeStreet Team
