The pictures on the website are misleading. I thought I was ordering a bed frame; close to 200.00 later I got four planks for under the mattress made from some wood and some particle board. The day I opened the box, I called. They said they would honor the return. They sent an email and said, do xyz and get a shipping label. Message read: "Item not eligible for return." It supposedly has a 100 day return policy and this is day one. No one has responded since. Never again.

Does not honor return. Asks for some label on it and says they cannot accept the return even though they are going to donate it. Literal scam. had me sending images all via email of all sides. complete waste my time and 10 emails then saying they wont give refund. absolutely never buy from this company ever on anyhting.

We bought a mattress, pad and bed platform in early December. Were told in two weeks we would get a call for delivery. Nothing. Figured it was delayed due to the holidays and called again on 1/17. Was told the mattress was in production and I should get a delivery call soon. Long story short, as of today (1/29/26) after multiple calls to the store in Georgetown and the national support number, which couldn't tell me anything or do anything because I bought everything from the physical store. Not a store that carries Avocado but their company store! Every phone call with the store, with the national support line, with the delivery company ended with a promise that they would look into it and call tomorrow. Never got a call back from anyone. I told one of the last people I talked to if they couldn't tell me when I would get the bed I would ask for a refund. "That's totally understandable; no problem". Called the store yesterday twice after another no call back from any of these people and left a message that I wanted a refund and if no one calls back I will just dispute the charge on my credit card. This morning, I decided to try one more time and called the national number. That idiot told me she could only refund for the platform bed as that was the only thing in the company's custody. I told her they still had the mattress, I doin't have it and she repeated herself like I was the stupid one. At this point I lost my temper said a couple of insulting things about the company and she hung up. I have since disputed the charges with my card on line. Didn't even realize that was a thing! It took about 7 minutes for them to notify my my dispute was resolved and my refund was documented in the account. Unprecedented, in 40 some years of having credit cards and occasionally disputing a claim. What this tells me is the company is so disreputable this is not the first time they've had disputes from other customers and so don't even bother with investigating any more and just go after the company.

Bought Eco Organic Mattress, was SO excited to finally be able to afford a non-toxic mattress. It was really stiff and uncomfortable, but other reviews said to give it time. I have had it for 189 days (of course can’t return now) and it has been the worst sleep of my life night after night. After staying at a hotel I realized it was my mattress. I slept at a hostel in NYC too and that was more comfortable than this. I finally caved and bought a cheap $200 mattress and it is so dreamy compared to this BRICK. I bought a topper to try and make the avocado mattress usable-still terrible sleep. Way too firm for side sleepers. Feels like camping on concrete. They advertise 365 trial, but it’s only 100 days for this mattress. BUYER BEWARE

We paid a lot of money for this mattress and expected it to last a good 10 years. Within the first year it was already sagging (had body divots). We tried adding a topper which did not help with the issue. I read so many reviews about this same issue from other folks stating how impossible it is to get a refund/replacement because they say the sagging is normal. After 2 years and sore bodies, we just threw the matttess out. DO NOT BUY AN AVOCADO MATTRESS!!!!

Ordered a mattress for my parents as a Christmas gift. It was the wrong size, and Avocado would not support returning or exchanging for the correct size. So much for a great return policy. Mattress was never used. They informed me my only option was to purchase another mattress. Sorry, I won't be purchasing any products from Avocado again and would not recommend their products to anyone else. Lots of better options on the market. Also I submitted an official, verified review through YotPo but it never appeared on the Avocado website. 30 Jan 2026 update: Be aware - Avocado definitely filters product reviews on their website. My YotPo review, written almost identical to this one, is still not posted to their site 4 weeks later. I know they have it on file because they read it back to me over the phone when I inquired about it.

Got charged, but the order never "created". They said there was nothing they could do and to dispute the charges. Their rep, Bianca, was completely incompetent, asked for proof (which I provided) , then said "sorry, nothing we can do". She didn't seem to mind at all how disappointing a customer experience I was having from their systems not working properly, and it now being my problem.

I bought an avocado mattress three years ago to use at my mother's house when visiting. It's only slept on at most 3 months of the year (I'm of average to below average weight and average height, so I'm not overstressing the mattress). Despite the infrequent use, it's developed a hump (not a dip, but a ridge elevation) in the middle of the mattress. I contacted Avocado about it multiple times, sent videos and photos, and even did their inspection process. However, they refuse to replace the mattress under warranty. I have been told by their representatives that the hump is normal?! To quote them directly: "This elevation is not a defect, but rather a normal result of how the springs are engineered to perform." So if you don't want to sleep on a hump, don't buy an avocado mattress. They don't dispute the presence of the hump, they just say it's by design, and unless it becomes greater than 1.5 inches in height, they won't replace the mattress under warranty. They instead gave me a mattress topper (which obviously does nothing to level out a hump!) It's incredibly uncomfortable to sleep on. It's the worst mattress I've ever had. Had I been sleeping on this mattress routinely, the problem might have come up during the return period, but since I wasn't, I am now stuck with it. Every time I sleep on it, I toss and turn all night, and I wake up with my shoulder and back hurting (I don't have back or shoulder problems). Their mattresses aren't cheap, and I thought I was buying a quality mattress with a good warranty. While it may come with a 10 year warranty, the customer service is really disappointing. They do everything in their power to ensure that the warranty isn't used. So learn from my mistake and don't buy an Avocado mattress. If I had known that the mattress develops a hump by design, I certainly wouldn't have bought it!
