I’m not sure why there’s a lot of people that say this shoe fits true to size. I have a pair of vivobarefoot primus lite III in a size 45 European and they fit absolutely perfect. I looked at the sizing chart on the Avancus website and it recommended a size 46 European for someone with a size 12-12.5 US which I have. So I ordered the 46 and it’s actually too small. It compresses my toes to a point of extreme uncontrollability and I don’t even want to wear them. I don’t see how I could fit a 45 just fine in vivos and these size 46 feel so tight in the toes even after taking the insoles out. The design and construction of the shoe is great for the most part. Extremely grippy and lots of support. On paper a great powerlifting shoe. Just feels like it needs some tweaks with sizing and possibly even a wider toe box.

Goated shoe & company
Goated shoe & company. The delivery was extremely fast, especially international delivery! Having wide feet this shoe literally makes my feet melt into the shoe and are so comfy. The grip is also amazing & has helped me create so much more leg drive in my bench.

Shoes are worth the price tag!
Shoes are worth the price tag!
As a competitive powerlifter, I feel like I'm buying a new pair of flats for just about every meet that I sign up to do (2-3 meets per year). That adds up, and the shoes never last more than 2 meets at the most before the grip wears down and the shoes inevitably warp and breakdown.
I've now benched and deadlifted in them. These are legitimate SHOES. They're not slippers, which is honestly a huge perk for me. I've been waiting for some flats with grip that feel well made like they could be sneakers to wear out and to work if I wanted to. These are definitely up to that standard, and they're still flat enough for me to comfortably lift in them.
The heel area has some support with extra sole that goes around the heel to prevent you from sliding up onto the sides of the shoes if you're a sumo puller or wide stance squatter, which I love. It's comparable to the Sabo Deadlift Pros, but I would argue that the sole feels more durable.
The grip on the sole of the shoes are extremely grippy. Very similar to the Notorious Lift SSG2s, but I feel that, again, the sole is more durable. Which leads me to believe that the grip won't wear down nearly as quickly as the Notorious Lifts do for me with how often I'm using them.
The toe box is huge. If you have narrow feet, I could see these being a little roomy for you, but I have pretty wide feet and I LOVE them. Just about all of the shoes I want to lift in are too narrow for me, so this is so awesome to have in a more structured flat lifting shoe.
I'm also flat footed. These have minimal arch support, but it wouldn't be hard to put in your choice of insole if you wanted more arch support. The fact that I won't need to remove the sole to get rid of excess arch support is great for me though.
I am a size 39 in Notorious Lifts, and I'm a size 39 in these as well, which is the size I purchased. I would say they run true to size in that respect.
All in all, I'm SUPER impressed. They are such a great value shoe, and I don't think I'll need to repurchase another pair for a few meets unless they just get too dirty for me (I got white). Which I'm really excited about. Great purchase as a competitive powerlifter!

Best powerlifting shoe on the market
Best powerlifting shoe on the market. Highly recommend, sizing is true to size. So go with whatever you usually go for.
If you wear vivobarefoot, go with the same size.

Almost perfect
Shipping was ahead of schedule. Purchasing was without incident and straightforward.
The shoes themselves are great for training. The grip is amazing and the wide forefoot allows for good stability. The mid-foot has a bit of extra space for my foot, but it doesn't necessarily lack lockdown or stability. The heel is something to get used to as it captures the heel at the opening of the shoe rather than at the base. In my opinion a heel counter would offer a more stable heel while allowing less padding above the heel. This should also allow more lockdown and stability to be applied through the mid-foot when tying the laces.
Sizing seems to be inconsistent for people depending on foot shape. Going true to European sizing seems to be the most accurate; I would suggest trying on a barefoot style shoe from Zero or Vivo barefoot and going with the same size for these.
Overall a great shoe; excited for a possible version 2.

Terrible suggestion and experience
Terrible shoe. Doesn’t fit to size despite the sites recommendation. Customer support was not helpful, and when the shoe doesn’t fit, because of the recommendations given, you are expected to pay for the return.
Terrible experience. I lost money because of the website’s recommendations.
