Hi Gerald, Thank you for your feedback! We completely understand how frustrating delays can be when payments don’t process as expected. While Avail’s standard 3-business-day timeline is faster than many rent payment processors, the U.S. Treasury’s ACH system has limitations. It only allows processing once per business day and includes a mandatory 3-day window for banks to notify us of failed payments. This grace period exists to accommodate smaller banks that may need extra time to manually review transactions. ACH Payment Timeline: Day 0: Tenant's bank debits their account; funds move to a holding account. Days 1–2: Funds remain in holding while the tenant’s bank can report a failure. Day 3: If no failure is reported, the funds are released to your account. Note: Payments do not process on weekends or Federal Reserve holidays. Each time a tenant initiates a payment, we’ll email you the expected deposit timeline. We recommend encouraging tenants to use AutoPay or schedule payments in advance to help avoid delays—especially around weekends or holidays. For quicker deposits and waived ACH fees, you can upgrade to Unlimited Plus with FastPay, which allows next-business-day delivery. Just note that FastPay is still subject to banking holidays and weekends. We hope this helps clarify the process, and we’re always here if you need anything else. Thanks for using Avail!
