No Disclosures, No Help — Just $16K in Repairs on a ‘Worry-Free’ Truck
AutoNation claims: “All of our used vehicles undergo a rigorous inspection process and come with a vehicle history report, so you can rest assured that the vehicle is Worry-Free and ready for the open road ahead!” I purchased a so-called “Worry-Free” 2014 Ford F-150 from AutoNation Subaru of Scottsdale on May 23, 2025. Less than a month later, certified shops diagnosed catastrophic failures: suspension, turbochargers, coolant system, and overdue high-mileage service — totaling over $15,000 in needed repairs. Here’s the kicker: these problems had already been identified in a prior inspection before AutoNation performed their “rigorous inspection” and sold the truck. They didn’t disclose a thing. I contacted them on June 16 with full documentation and a reasonable request to resolve it privately. They acknowledged the report — and then ghosted me. No help. No follow-up. No accountability. Now, every drive is a game of truck roulette — waiting to see what fails next and hoping it doesn’t kill me or someone else. But hey, at least AutoNation made the sale.
