I stayed in Carlton, Melbourne for about 7 months the booking process was really easy, the room was exactly as shown and the location was super convenient... the team was always fast to reply, and my guarantee deposit was returned without any hassle after 7 months. highly recommended for mid or long term stays

I have been sharing a house in Flemington with a garden, next to the tramway station. It was in good condition. I was a bit scared to live with foreigners from all the world but it was fun to meet the culture of Bangladesh and Argentina (I am from Europe). Nice experience.

Where to begin. Poor customer service - all emails were not responded to for at least a few days. Rent requests were almost always sent late. It took over 3 weeks for them to fix a leaky shower. My deposit has not been paid back for over 2 months since I moved out and they illegally charge a cleaning fee on check out that is included in the contract. 0/5 do not use.

I have been waiting for my guarantee deposit for more than a month now. Firstly I moved into a house in West Footscray of Melbourne and took my agreement for about 6 months and wanted to change my room in the same property but the team was so unprofessional they couldn’t process that. Later on I got to know that the house I was staying was auctioned and sold by the landlord and me and my housemates weren’t even noticed. We suddenly got a message saying we have to evacuate which is crazy because I didn’t have anywhere else booked beforehand. Later I moved into another property of Aurent and I had to constantly text/email them about my License Termination and they processed that after 2 weeks. Now I have been still waiting for my previous guarantee deposit to be refunded and they keep saying that it has been refunded and will show in my account. I don’t know which sort of refund process they are following but it’s taking ages for them to refund such a small amount. It’s really unprofessional and the customer service isn’t that prompt.

I have been with them for four months now. My host is simply great, checks in regularly whenever anything needs fixing.

I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before booking with Aurent! The room and the apartment I was given were completely unacceptable. They were extremely dirty, there were hairs in the bed, the walls were stained, and there was extensive mould in both the bedroom and the bathroom. In my experience, the accommodation also looked nothing like it was advertised online. Because of the condition of the room, I had to move out immediately and find alternative accommodation at my own expense. What has disappointed me even more is the way my complaint has been handled. Despite providing evidence and explaining the situation in detail, Aurent has still not refunded AUD 2,230.20, including my first two weeks' rent and my security deposit.

My bond has not yet been refunded to me nor have they sent me the bond termination letter. The organisation to me now seems completely a scam. I have conversed with the renters who rented the apartment prior to me and even they said that their bonds were never refunded and in some cases delayed until authorities were alerted. The location of property was Sebastopol street, enmore I have now lodged a complaint with the fair trade practice. And will be pursuing other legal measures as well till this organisation gets completely banned from operating in Australia.

⭐ Very disappointing experience I had a very poor experience with this accommodation. When I moved in, I found multiple issues, including a broken TV screen, an unclean room, and cockroaches throughout the room. The oven also had a serious electrical issue with short-circuiting and was replaced only after I reported it due to safety concerns. After raising all these issues, only one problem was addressed. The remaining issues were left unresolved, yet management responded that there were no issues left from their side. I paid for a safe and clean place to stay, but the condition of the room and the lack of proper follow-up were extremely disappointing. I hope management improves their maintenance and customer service for future residents.
