Unacceptable 8-day delay for order cancellation - Order #56245
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Aulumu. I placed and confirmed an order on August 24th. Only today, on September 1st—more than a week later—did customer service finally contact me to say they cannot ship to my address in the Balearic Islands due to "delivery restrictions," offering to cancel the order. Taking 8 days from order confirmation just to check shipping feasibility is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional for an international tech accessory brand. If a region is restricted, the checkout system should block it, or customer service should flag it within 24–48 hours. Holding a customer's money for over a week just to cancel the order is a terrible customer experience. If you live on an island or a remote region, be aware that their "worldwide shipping" claims might result in a massive waste of your time. I still would like to receive my order.

Hello Ricardo Pinto KOREKUTA, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry that your order could not be delivered as expected, especially after you had been waiting for a pre-order to become available. We’d like to provide a little context for what happened. Your order was placed as a pre-order, and once the products arrived at our warehouse, we immediately proceeded with fulfillment. It was during the shipping process that we discovered our current delivery service could not serve addresses in the Balearic Islands due to regional delivery restrictions. We completely understand why this was frustrating. From your perspective, you had placed an order, waited for the pre-order to arrive, and reasonably expected it to be shipped without encountering a delivery restriction at this stage. While this was a destination-specific shipping limitation rather than an issue with your order or the product itself, we recognize that the timing of the notification made the overall experience disappointing. As soon as we confirmed that delivery to your address was not possible, we contacted you directly and arranged a full refund. We’re sorry that we could not offer the outcome you actually wanted—receiving your order—and we understand that a refund does not fully make up for the time and expectations involved. We also want to clarify that Aulumu does ship to Spain, but unfortunately our current shipping network does not cover the Balearic Islands. We are reviewing our delivery options for regions with more limited access, as we know that providing a smooth experience should include not only mainland destinations but also island and remote areas. We sincerely appreciate your patience and your willingness to still receive your order. We’re sorry we couldn’t make that happen this time, and we hope to have a suitable shipping solution for the Balearic Islands in the future. Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to address this. Best Regards, aulumu Team
