I ordered a transmission for a 96…
I ordered a transmission for a 96 caprice it was almost 2 months before they took my money off my card they said I would have my transmission with 2 to 3 business days I didn't receive it until a month later when the transmission got there it didn't have a tail shaft cover I grabbed the shaft u could move it up and down while hearing a clunking sound in the transmission I refused the transmission I called them and told them how the transmission was when it got there they went on talking about I didn't receive tail shaft because of different vehicles it could go in and that it must have been damaged in shipping 2 weeks later I still calling about my money I guess I'm going to have to report them dont trust them

Respectfully this is "honestly" uttterly ridiculous. Out of our over 70,000 transmissions that have been produced, inspected, and shipped over the past 13 years or more we have had a 98.4% customer success rate. As a degree'd engineer and practiced quality manager and technical adviser i am going to say this to each and every person who does read this. Consider these facts. 1. The transmission comes to a shop, or part store, or customer as a factory rebuild built to Original equipment manufacturer specifications fully tested. We do not put tailhousings or t-case adapters on them because they are bridges and not functional components of the product but we do send the new seal and O-ring so the installer can switch their tailhousing from their core to the rebuilt transmission so it mates properly to the mating part. We do not CHARGE A CORE CHARGE or get it back which is a huge convenience to every customer and over and above what any other competitor out there would do so it should be appreciated. This particular customer spoke with Jay and was concerned over end play in the output shaft on their product because you could wiggle it up and down and around. Just so everyone knows a tailshaft on a Chevy 4L60e that is for a 2 wheel drive is always loose like that it sticks out about 18" what ties it in or locks it into place is the tailhousing application through the output hole and locking it into place with the drive shaft u-joint yoke. This is obviously someone that doesn't understand how these things work or what they are like before being put in. So this product never should have been refused anyway. I overheard Jay on this conversation let these people know that their will be endplay in the shaft until they lock it into place with the U-joint and drive shaft. We still will honor these peoples wishes because that product was just re-routed to a customer invoice 22154 and they received it, removed tailhousing off of their core, applied the rear seal an o-ring and resealed it to unit then hooked it to the drive shaft. It is working perfectly. I usually do not mind handling things with tolerance if and when we may have been late or behind or a customer has a valid complaint. This one I cannot and will not defend this particular customer for their lack of knowledge and not being appreciative of not having to pay a core charge or return a core yet cannot use their tailhousing because their are different speed sensor and support mounts per vehicle application.. These 4L60e's are interchangeable per vehicle application. Thanks to everyone sorry so long but I honestly cannot agree with the logic of this particular customer complaint in good faith and all honesty. Anyone else that knows about chevy 4L60e's would agree with me if they were being honest.
7-16-19 Just spoke with customer and he didn't have a tailhousing his was cracked and he had already refused the freight according to Danny here so it was kind of too late to send them one. We were unaware he needed a tailshaft prior to this.

I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe 4x4
I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe 4x4, My first trans went out when I sunk it in a river and had it rebuilt, $1200 and lasted just over a year, Builder didn't care.
Had the trans rebuilt again at another trans shop and was quoted $2800 with all the best parts... well when I went to pick it up, It was almost $3400 !!! Again It just out lived its warranty and the builder didn't care.
So for the 3rd trans I went to Aamco, They recommended there refurbished trans 3yr-33.000ml warranty at almost $4.000, well you guessed it...it lasted 3 years !!!
As You can imagine, I can't afford to keep doing this. So I decided I'd order one online and swap it my self, This where I found Atransmissions, The Price and the warranty where to good to true but being low on money I had to give them a try and I'm GLAD I DID !!!, The trans was delivered to my door and swapped out over a weekend by my self (my kid didn't show up to help). I've been running hard on this trans for over a year and couldn't be Happier !!!
If You need a 4l60e, You've got to give Atransmission a try !!!

Dont know what's going on with my transmission keep getting told it is going to ship and it's been more than a month still no transmission.
Update: have had many phone conversations with customer service and keep getting lied to. Was given a tracking number that doesn't even register yet.
Response from AtransmissionsJul 16, 2019
Not sure who JC is... If theres an issue a simple phone call to (989)891-9212 would solve it ....thanks Just spoke with you Jamie, I will work to ensure we get this shipped. Ill stay in touch till it does should be today or tomorrow. sorry for any inconvenience we are very busy but still will get it to you.
If This is Jody Christopher I have copies of the codes they sent to us I have it in my email listen to this
P0102 mass air flow circuit signal low
mass air flowcircuit signal high
P0140 low 028 activity bank 1 sensor 2
P0141 02 heater circuit bank1 sensor 2
P0160 low028 acitvity bank 2 sensor 2
P0420 catalyst efficiency low bank 1
last but not least transmission slipping p1870 - will slip with all that stuff
With these codes all engine and exhaust codes you will have low or no power and never shift correctly.. also the notes state they have same problem they had before. Of course

Lasted all of 2 weeks
Lasted all of 2 weeks. Took it to a local shop (as I should have done in the first place) rather than paying for round trip shipping. Once they had a look inside, they said they were amazed it had worked at all due to incorrect parts used during the rebuild. I'll use a local shop again in the future rather than rolling the dice

jacob, we have been in business here in Bay City since December of 2012, transplanted from Saginaw founded in 1996. We are an industry leader in factory rebuilding automatic transmissions. I can provide you with a video live showing our operation and the manufacturing process live as to our product quality. Our delay in getting it to you is not intended but something we are slowly working through without trying to raise our prices to slow it down. If that transmission had a problem with it someone should have called before it ever left the shop. Why would a shop put it in, test drive it, say it is OK, charge you for it and let you take it if there was something wrong with it. So we did our job correctly obviously apparantly there is something going on with the vehicle contributing to the loss and despite all of that we are a no fault guarantee company and will provide you with a replacement part. We will even consider offering labor as well which is outside of contract if we were negligent in our rebuild process but if we were it would have never left the shop installing it. How can there be incorrect parts in it, and a shop installed it, collected your money, and let you leave and it worked. Just curious. We stand behind our product probably as much as if not more then any other company. It troubles me you had to go online and write a bad review about us based upon what a shop that charged you for the transmission and let you leave with it says. If you would like a warranty replacement call us and we will provide you with it. Also, we will provide technical advice to help you prevent this from happening again.
Jake, respectfully almost all transmission shops do that to other peoples product by bad mouthing them so that they can get your business and keep it local and many overcharge for less.. Just statistical facts. Thanks sir.
