After sampling various podcast…
After testing several podcast platforms I settled on Async. Setting up the studio was simple and inviting guests is straightforward, with a shareable link and a calendar invitation option. Tracks upload independently to the cloud, helping protect recordings if someone’s internet connection drops. Smart Layout now works very well. Earlier versions sometimes cut speech abruptly, but the experience has noticeably improved. There have been some technical issues. I experienced missing audio after AI editing and an occasion when lip sync was out by around five seconds. I suspect the latter was linked to a five-second interruption during the call. Customer support investigated, ran tests on my account and resolved the issues fairly quickly. That responsive support makes a difference. The AI editing assistant has a learning curve. It is useful, though some interactions still feel clumsy. Its ability to scan content and generate relevant background clips is particularly impressive. However, those edits can consume tokens quickly. My advice: ask the assistant how many tokens an edit will use before approving it. Async is a solid podcast production platform with straightforward recording, useful AI features and responsive support. There is still room to refine the editing experience, but the improvements I have seen give me confidence in its direction.
