I called ASKAVETONLINE on 12/11/2024, I was charged a total of $40.00 for information on my ill pet While I was online my pet passed away. I had no problem with the payment since I was getting the assistance needed at the time and they were not here to see my pet. On 1/12/2025, I looked into my bank account and seen ASKAVETONLINE took another $35.00 out of my account without my permission. When I tried to contact them, I was told I had to pay another $35.00 to speak with a vet to get the problem fixed with them taking money from my account. I am on Social Security, I do not know how many other Senior Citizens or disabled person(s) have had this experience.

The veterinarians cannot prescribe medication for pets. I felt intentionally misled because the assistant said they would be able to help with this. It was not a controlled substance (anti nausea) Cerenia for my cat that accidentally ingested a plant. 40$ down the drain. The vet recommended things that I already read on Google. I do not recommend this site.

I used this service once a couple of months ago and was charged an amount that I wasn’t informed about. I have not used this service since and yet they charge me again using the card I had used once before. I tried contacting them but was told I would be charged to talk to someone about the charge.

after waiting a few hours for a vet to call,i was told by chat no one was available. finally was conracted by e mail im 64 years old and havent any computer skills.was unable to brief this chat person about my dogs history and condition .never did receive a call from a vet making this a wast of money and time.not to mention being lied to. i was charged anyway leaving me short of funds to see and talk to a real vet

As everyone else has said, this is a scam. They say they are charging you a $5, one time sign up fee to use their services. The $5 fee is a joining fee and then they automatically enroll you in a membership that they charge you $39 a month for. I asked one question and spoke to the "vet" for all of 2 minutes and was charged $44 and received no help. They cannot prescribe medication, which isn't disclosed until after you submit payment. This company is awful.

MONEY STEALING c***s. I used this service one god damn time, and at first they charged me against my will unknown to me 35$ a month… but since LAST WEDNESDAY (4days ago) they’ve charged me THAT AMOUNT TWICE. I hope you all go bankrupt and lose everything you own. Stealing greedy assholes.

I used this service ONCE. I was told it would cost AUD$2. Roll on a few months and I've now cancelled my credit card and other bank products due to Askavetonline scamming me. Somehow I'm signed up to a subscription service that I can't log into, or manage. If you want to find out about the extra charges on your account - you have to pay them $2 - which will turn into another subscription with them and you'll be charged $42 a month twice. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! $120 visit to the vet is cheaper in the long run. They've been reported to scam watch, the bank is investigating them and hopefully they'll end up not able to steal from the vets providing the service (I spoke to a vet in Canberra who was hoping to be paid for the call - fat chance I'll bet) and the customers using the service.

Scam. Stay far away, was never connected with a vet, none available even after many reassurances they were coming. After charged of course, and then I asked about how to cancel they sent me a link to an auto response from am expert that had no information or ability to get a script. Complete waste of money.
