I spoke to a vet who I feel gave a helpful answer which I paid for however, the company signed me up for a subscription of $65 a month. I did not authorize it. My credit card company canceled my card so they can't keep charging me but no word if I get my $65 back.

I would give less than 1 star if I could. They asked for a $5 fully refundable deposit to send my emergency vet question to a licensed vet. I was not fully confident so I transferred all of my funds to my savings just in case. SO GLAD I DID. They charged my account $70. Not $5. Total scam website!!!

This site is very misleading. We got a very generic answer from the vet regarding my daughter's dog who was ill. I was told the charge would be $70. I do not remember any conversation about a subscription or recurring charges, but exactly one month later, I received a charge of $65 for my "subscription." I called to question the "subscription" and was told by an automated voice that all services are subscription based and I had agreed. I attempted to disagree with the automated voice and finally directed "it" to cancel my "subscription." I sent a dispute to my credit card company and cancelled my card.

Total rip-off. Trick offer of $5 for information but in reality the charge is $65 per month with automatic renewal. The information provided was mostly bogus. Four "local" vets were recomended all of which had bad phone numbers. Cancelation of the $65 per month is extremely complicated. My dog is dying and I don't need this kind of scam.

Horrible scam! I was charged $55 per month and it was nearly impossible to cancel! In Jan. 2026, the FTC filed an enforcement action against parent company JustAnswer.com. DO NOT pay $5 for advice from an online chat vet! They’ll charge your cc $55-$79 per month without your consent! BEWARE!

The 65.00 monthly charge is hidden in the fine print. And on top of that, the vet told me to call a vet. Did not realize I was being taken for 5 + 65 =70.00. Enjoy it. No more and bad review.

Do not use this “service “ if you are looking for urgent care for your pet. I was trying to locate a vet who could prescribe antibiotics for my pug’s UTI. The vet who did the chat consult couldn’t prescribe medication as the company isn’t licensed in WA state. I paid $70 for 5 minutes of chat.
