Ethos has very clear communications, a highly intuitive platform with clean UI, and very reliable delivery schedules.

I have just begun and got my first payment. So far all is good. The Ethos support team is very responsive to questions and concerns. Keep in mind that they are a contractor working for a client. Not everything is under their control.

This is my third months being part of the team. There was definitely a learning curve, for example I used to stress over the time limit associated with tasks and I would waste a lot of time figuring out how best to tackle a specific exercise. With repetition and training, I am now like a well oiled machine and I can fully enjoy the mentally challenging work and extra income.

Onboarding is very straightforward, the communication is clear and I appreciated the transparency on the work and selection process. When I reached out to Ethos during the recruitment process, I received a clear answer in less than 24h

Overall, working with Ethos has been a good experience, and a great solution for flexible work, which can be done remotely, with hours that suit you. The payments are always made on time, no issues. I feel that the team at Ethos can be trusted, and genuinely wants to support. Having said that, this is a technology that is developing quickly which means that requirements for the tasks can change frequently, are often not clear, and questions can take some time to address. You are also subject to the work being available when you are, which is not always the case (but available 70-80% of the time in my experience). The application process is smooth and quick, relying largely on your LinkedIn profile, and a short interview by an AI agent (this can feel a bit weird). There is no cap in the number of hours you can do, and they automatically add you to new opportunities that you qualify for, without you having to apply again and again. Going in to it, I had an idea of the monthly income I wanted to achieve from this. In theory, it's achievable, but in reality it has been lower because of various things eg. having to spend time queuing for tasks or work not always being available. You get paid for time spent on tasks, not time spent queuing. The tasks themselves can require pretty intense concentration so it's difficult to get a solid 8 hours of paid work out of this per day. The most I've managed is 6 before I'm cognitively maxed out. Having said that, other people have done more, and the cognitive load does vary by campaign. Overall, I would recommend. But if you're looking at the hourly rate, and mentally calculating the max you could earn from this per month, I would pare those expectations down by about 20%.

I recently completed an expert engagement with Ethos, drawing on my background in IT operations, SRE and AIOps, and the experience was excellent throughout. Reliability: Scheduling was straightforward, communication was clear, and everything happened when they said it would. No chasing required. Ethics: Ethos was transparent about how the engagement worked, how my input would be used, and what was expected of me. Confidentiality and conflict-of-interest considerations were handled properly, which matters a great deal when you have worked in regulated environments. Professionalism: The team was responsive, well organised and respectful of my time. The process felt well designed rather than transactional. Payments: Payment was accurate and arrived promptly, exactly as agreed. Simple and hassle-free. I would happily work with Ethos again and recommend them to other senior practitioners considering expert work.
