I found Dr. Winders online through searching for a dermatologist online. The story I read from someone with my scalp condition sounded like hope may be on the way. My primary doctor wanted me to continue with another shampoo treatment but I gave up. It was time for me to move from the Boise, Idaho area where I had been living for over a decade. The temperature in the summer of 2024 was in the triple digits from July into September! My apartment did not have a working air condition and that heat nearly killed me. The heat definitely had me scratching my scalp all night long and the shampoo prescribed by my primary care doctor just wasnt working. Taking a cold shower helped and wearing an ice cap helped a lot. However I live alone and that's what I like but not without the air conditioning and even the nights were not cooling off my downtown boise apt. So I called an old family friend who owned a house is Sandpoint, Idaho . he said it had been unusually hot there too but at least the high temperature were tolerable because it would cool down with a breeze off the lake. He did not have a long streak off triple digits highs likw I had in Boise but it was definitely higher than normal temperatures than he was used to. In November he helped me move north to Sandpoint, Idaho and the bumps and itching subsided some. But by February the bumps were back and by then I knew what had been prescribed was absolutely not going to work and I started using a tea shampoo which soothes my scalp but at this point my hair is coming out and the bumps are going down to the back of my necK and growing through to my forehead. Help! It's time to get serious. I am a 69 yr. old woman and I know I could have worse medical conditions, so in that respect I am blessed.
