lot of waiting time between answers
There was a lot of waiting time inbetween answers that I thought it may be a scam.... The card system did not accept my payment for the first two times....I was nervous to try again, but then it worked...

Watch the automatic enrollment!
I thought I was paying $5 and since I was crazy distracted in trying to get help for my dog (because all emergency vet clinics were closed on a Saturday night), I didn't see that tiny writing about enrolling in a $65 a month membership in my email! Before knowing this, I even sent extra money to the vet who helped me simply because I thought $5 was such an amazing deal. I immediately canceled and am hoping to getting my $65 back via my bank. I doubt I will. That old saying "if it's too good to be true..." slams down on this military family today.

Beware it is Membership Only. You are signing up for Monthly Charges
The bad issue I had with them was that I did not realize I was signing up for a membership. And I didn't notice for a year. That may sound like I was being careless - I did not check my credit card statement until I got a year end statement, but I also never received a single email from them or any text notification of the monthly charge. I get notifications from every other place I pay for monthly (non profit donations, health insurance, etc). The ONLY email I ever got from Askadoctor, was one to join back up after I had canceled. The care I got was fine. I was trying to get some answers about an abscess on a finger and sent pictures. In the end, after many specialists could not diagnose, I can look back and say the doctor online got it wrong. We had to culture it in the end and get specific antibiotics. So just be careful using them, and not careless like I was. They refunded me for 2 months out of 14, but I had to work with their AI bots two separate times for those two refunds and could not reach a human.

Not worth monthly charge for me
Waited an hour to be matched with a doctor, and then trouble after appointment in getting questions answered about why my prescription was never submitted. Also not transparent on website about automatic monthly charge.

Watch out for recurring membership charges!
When we called to obtain advice, we did not realize that we were agreeing to a recurring membership charge of $55 each month! Efforts to obtain a refund for the month we didn't use the service have been fruitless. We called three different numbers hoping to talk to a service rep, but all we got was a recording that our membership was cancelled.
