Artsy is an Excellent, Multifaceted Resource
As an art historian, professor and art advisor, I heavily rely on Artsy as a site to discover art, and as an educational tool for my students and clients.
I frequently direct my undergraduate students to Artsy to discover new artists or to learn more about established ones. Many times, students have remarked upon how easy it is to use the platform; many have also used it as a research tool in other classes. Artsy provides an unparalleled library of high quality images, and the artist bios and Magazine articles are both informative and insightful. Its educational value should not be underestimated.
As a part-time art consultant, I have also used Artsy to help clients purchase art, and it has proven invaluable. I've had excellent customer service experiences with Artsy when inquiring about pricing and availability of work, and my clients have also remarked on the user-friendliness of the platform.
In short, I highly recommend using Artsy for a variety of purposes. It can be helpful for educators, creative professionals, art experts and novices, seasoned collectors and new buyers.
