I see that you have stated the warranty does not cover many parts, however the warranty offers coverage on a wide range of covered items throughout the home and attached garage; check out this short video for just some of the covered items: https://bit.ly/2WwrHqZ. Furthermore, upon review of your claims, I see that the dishwasher inner door is cracked. The door is listed as a non covered part, and we were not able to assist with this claim. I have reviewed the contract, claims, and contractor diagnoses; I am pleased to see that, even though the proper process was not followed, we extended a courtesy to you in order to assist you with the claim. We understand that emergencies happen, which is why we have representatives available 24/7/365 to take your call. When you call us with the licensed contractor present, we speak with them to obtain a diagnosis, then deliver the determination promptly, typically within a matter of minutes. No sales pitches or other services are offered during these calls. The warranty assists with specific items that have failed from normal wear and tear; therefore, it is essential that we speak with a contractor by phone to complete the claim. While I appreciate your preference for other forms of communication, APHW needed to speak with you and your contractor to finish the claim. Based on your refusal to call us back, we were unable to complete the claims process and reimbursement. Regarding the cancellation, I see that we reached out to you several times to explain what was needed to complete the process, and your refund has been processed. Hello James, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. I see that we made several attempts to contact you about what was needed to refund your card. Once we were able to speak with you, we were advised that we could reimburse the previous card on file, and we refunded the money to that card. Then we received a call where you stated that the credit card company gave you the wrong information. As we have already processed your refund to the previous card, we need a letter from your bank stating the previous card was closed and the last four digits of the new card to process the refund. To finish the process we need the required information. Once this information is received, we will be able to close your contract and refund the discussed amount. The warranty approval amounts for systems beyond the manufacturer’s/industry standard life expectancy are the sole discretion of the Company. I can understand your frustration with the claim delay, and we would like to apologize for the length of time it took for your claim determination to be made. This does not live up to our award-winning customer service standards, and we will be coaching our employees to correct the issue. Regarding your claim determination results, to qualify for coverage, potentially covered items must be fully operational upon occupancy of the home, and then fail from normal wear and tear during the warranty coverage period. I see that you advised us that the Hot Tub would not turn on the first time trying to use it. Per the terms of the warranty, we are unable to assist with items that failed prior to the start of the warranty coverage period. Also, I see that your Dishwasher claim is still open.
