Paid ATR over 10k only to be chewed out from a rep for not getting 6 years of receipts together in a timely fashion.(I received the call when my husband was in ccicu.) The tax preparer Satar was rude, wouldn’t listen, would not file an extension for the current tax year as I tried to explain he needed to wait for the transcripts. They did nothing after the filing. Now they want more money to make me compliant.?. I have been talked down to, belittled almost causing anxiety attacks. I’m loosing my home cause I can’t refi my mortgage cause of the tax liens. I can’t file for bankruptcy because I’m not current with my tax filing. When are these people going to be stopped!?!?

I engaged ATS in 2019 to negotiate a payment plan on my behalf. They also told me they would file my 2020, 2021 and 2022 tax returns for me. After four years and $5,000 and multiple requests to see any sort of verifiable evidence that they've done something, anything on my behalf, I not only find out my returns have not been filed -- although I was assured many times that they have -- but the IRS has flagged my 2021 return for identity fraud. ATS tells me that now I have to call the IRS and sort it out myself. They also told me that the reason those returns haven't been filed -- although I was told many times that they have -- was my fault. They've spent four years stringing me along, bouncing me from one person to the next, avoiding my attempts to communicate with them, trying to convince me they were working diligently on my behalf when I have no reason to believe they've done anything at all. So I fired them this month which immediately triggered an email from someone named Craig who said that he was requesting a currently not collectable (CNC) status for me and so for all intents and purposes my case had been resolved! It's so absurd it's comical. A CNC status means the IRS considers you still owe them money but they won't engage in collection efforts but the interest, fees, fines etc. continue to accumulate which IS NOT what I hired them for. I see from the other reviews here that they have done that many times for customers which requires nothing more than a request and a tax form be sent to the IRS. Something anyone could do themselves for the cost of a postage stamp. ATS is either incompetent or an outright fraud. I too will report them to all the appropriate agencies. Any reply they provide to my review will just be a continuation of their unethical business practices. Don't fall for it.

Unfortunately, for me, Anthem Tax was not beneficial for me. I gained nothing from this relationship, but lost plenty of money that they charged me for which I have nothing to show for it. I would advise you to go look at the complaints at the Better Business Bureau and then decide for yourself if you want to risk your money and or savings with this company. I would definitely recommend asking all those hard questions before submitting your payment, which is required in full at the time of the contract.

BEWARE!! The price can be negotiated down on average 35% from the initial ask due to the other 1,000 companies that offer the same services. They are not good, and have EXTREME turnover. I got Anthem tax service to help out with my tax debt All I got in 3 years is my property to have tax liens, not a payment plan set up and no reduction on penalties. They switch us from one office to another then kept wanting more money before they quit returning my calls. I hired them in Jan 2017- 2019 then I gave up trying to get help

Horrible experience. Should’ve just done them myself and saved $$$$. They pressure you to pay then it all goes bad from there. Refunds should be issued..

NOTE: I started working with Anthem Tax Services back in 2019 with Jacob Armstrong. It wouldn't let me choose the earlier date. To make a long story short, after spending 16K and going through a couple of years of delay tactics and ghosting, I can't recommend. I was not left in a better place than I began and they definitely didn't want to refund my money which is why I think they delayed so many email/phone responses. The service seems nice and they really sound sincere but as I said, the delay practice will drive you to drink. The reason why you do not see more negative responses is that they have a reputation doctor that contacts you to see if things can be worked out if you remove the negative review. I did this. I was then passed off to three Anthem reps in about a month's time and I became frustrated which was probably the plan. Do not use this service and don't be afraid to add your review so others do not get caught in this situation.

Anthem tax services was quick to take my $10,000 for their services, but certainly not quick at all in resolving my tax issues. It has been 8+ months and so far no resolution. All of my penalties keep adding up while the lack of communication from both their project manager and tax advisors has been zero. I will go weeks at a time without hearing a single thing about my case until I am probing them repeatedly for an update, several emails later over several days and I finally get one. Then it’s another month that goes by before I hear from them again. I also just received a recommended resolution from this “tax advisor” and it’s for twice the amount I owe to the IRS. Their paperwork didn’t reflect my income accurately, didn’t include bills I pay monthly nor court ordered payments which reduce the amount of free income I have to repay the IRS. Anthem would have been satisfied to settle me at paying TWICE what I owe to the IRS which isn’t what you hire them for. This company and their guarantees are fraudulent. I have just hired a tax attorney and will also be pursing a civil suit in small claims court to receive not only my refund for services, but damages from this company for the amount of stress they have put on me and my family with their lack of response to my case. Do not hire them no matter what you hear! Do not do not do not!!!!!!
