Just terrific, all around: guides especially; hotels; bus drivers; tours of key places; flexibility when we got fatigued. Everyone felt secure from danger. Couldn't have asked for a nicer trip.

It was an excellent experience. We stayed at the top ranked hotels in the area and had an excellent tour guide. The places we visited were consistent with my expectations. I was awed by the experience. In order to get the most out of the trip, we did have to walk a lot at times. it was not a drawback for most of the tourists. I would recommend America Israel Tours to anybody. it was the trip of a lifetime.

I truly had a great experience with the Roots of your Faith tour. I am forever blessed and will remember the great sites we visited. As for our tour guide, Yair was exceptional in his knowledge of all the historical sites we visited, and explained/presented the information well so everyone can understand. he was also considerate enough to wait for others who were on the slower side of walking to keep up. He also knew the city very well to keep us safe, and whichever toilets to use that were clean and safe. I like the fact that we left the hotel early (8am) and got done early enough that there would be enough time to rest for the next day or wander the city at your own risk. Shlomi our driver maneuvered the narrow and busy streets with a lot of patience and confidence. Our bus had wifi and charging stations, which helped when low on battery. The hotels AIT have chosen were at great locations- walkable to many entertainment sites. Some of the hotels were not so clean and were getting "old" like the Leonardo plazas in Tiberius and Jerusalem. The rooms they picked for us had wonderful views. The Leonardo plaza hotel in Jerusalem had a nice appearance, but the carpet in my room wasn't properly vacuumed and it had a stinky smell in the bathroom. The "office" area in the hotel where you can use their computers were not so clean. The keyboards were old and very very dirty. The Herods hotel by the Dead Sea was modern and clean, and had an exceptional buffet for dinner and breakfast. Great scenery from my room. I really wished we could've stayed there one day longer to relax and float longer in the Dead Sea, and enjoy the spa and other amenities the hotel offered. The Dead Sea experience was one of the highlights of my trip. The food at the buffets repeated itself quite a lot (everyday almost the same), but they were tasty and plenty to choose from. It did get old after 4 days. Be prepared to pay $12-$20 of food for lunch daily. There were not a lot of variety- schnitzel, falafel and shawarma were mainly the only choices. It comes with the drink and placed in a pita bread with tomatoes and cucumbers. It's staple-everyday was the same for lunch just different places. Wear comfortable shoes. Highly recommended to use sneakers instead of sandals or flats. My feet were burned due to the heat of the sun. The roads were dusty with many uneven pavements, especially in Jerusalem where most of the walking takes place. If you have difficulty walking up and down the stairs it might help you to condition yourself ahead for this trip. Modesty is a must for many sites: below the knee and covered shoulders- many used shawls for cover. We visited a lot of churches and temples, which required modesty. First week of May is hot, but not too humid. I heard April and October are the best times to visit. Bring a hat, sunglasses and use sunblock. It will help you get through the sunny days. Shopping in Jerusalem can be brutal and confusing (too many stores and the same merchandise and too many different prices). I strongly suggest to think twice about what you're buying. If you don't need it, just walk away. If you want it, bargain and be prepared to walk away, but don't get fooled- shop around first. For the 8th day, my family went to visit the holocaust museum. It was very informative and heartbreaking. we then went to the Mamilla mall which is a walking distance to the Leonardo plaza hotel. The hotel staff was kind enough to allow us lounge around at the bar area until we left at 7pm. There were a lot of opportunities for many deep spiritual experiences if you allow yourself to reflect for a moment i.e. Mount Carmel, Sea of Galililee boat ride, the western wall, and the Tomb visit were a few places I highly recommend this tour. The daily itinerary is full and is spot on, though I wish one more day was given at the Dead Sea.

We had the ideal guide throughout the tour. The guide was informative and knowledgeable in the sites we visited. Hotels were great too!

America Israel tours offered a great tour of Egypt, Jordan and Israel. Safety was never an issue, and we went to lots of great places. The guides were so very knowledgable (especially Danny in Israel) Any changes in our plans due to unforeseen complications were quickly solved and our touring continued. You would live going on a tour with American Israel Tours.

Our trip guide, Yayir, was so knowledgeable, kind, patient and fun to be with. The trip in the boat on the Sea of Galilee was exceptional and the Dead Sea was beautiful beyond words. Getting baptized in the Jordan River was spiritually fulfilling. The hotels and food were great. Donna Bahnak

I never felt unsafe anywhere we went - it was obvious that security was taken seriously and that these countries are eager for tourists to return. Our guides were simply amazing founts of history and knowledge. They shared historical, Biblical, and personal significance at each site we went to. My brain is still whirling. It was a full schedule from 6am til 6pm and required lots of walking and climbing hills and stairs so it's not for the physically disabled. Although I would go back to any of the countries we visited, Israel was just incredible - truly a land of miracles. Thanks for the attention to every detail!
