I made the order and tried to cancel the order because I suspected that this store sells refurbished product without mention. I could not reach the customer service. I tried to talk to sales line and the person either hang up on me or put me in music. I have no choice but canceled my credit card. Do not use this website !!! Unless you want to buy refurbished items and no return, you may try the luck.

The positive reviewers must be fake. I looked for reviews for America Camera (AC) and found a couple positive reviews. They listed a camera that was much less than the competition - so I bought it in mid September 2014. Bank was charged that night under a different company "Primotronix". The next morning, since and I never received a confirmation note after my purchase, I was about to dial the number on the bank charge and the phone rang with a person from AC trying to upsale me from a Japanese camera to an American one. Most good cameras are imports anyhow so I didn't go for it. After 21 calendar days and several phone calls with no answer I finally reached someone who said "your shipment was lost so we are refunding your money". That was over 45 days ago now and I still have no resolution. Contacted the BBB and they say this company uses three different names. I only want one of them to refund my money or deliver the camera that I paid for... DO NOT THINK ABOUT PURCHASING FROM THEM - RUN AWAY FAST AND RUN AWAY NOW !!!

This was the worst business interaction I have ever experienced. After placing my order for a camera and extended warranty from americacameras.com., I did not receive confirmation and was contacted by a representative the following day to verify my order. He informed me that the camera I was purchasing was the lower quality international model, which was not listed anywhere on the site. I told him I wanted the better quality US model as well as the extended warranty. The US model was not listed on the site. We finalized the order of the US model and warranty after he attempted to upsell memory cards, batteries, etc., which I had stated multiple times that I did not need. After 24 hours I had still not received order confirmation and called the same number and extension to make sure the order was processed. The same guy answered and defensively said he would send it but that he wasn't the person I had talked to the previous day. I finally received a crude invoice without the warranty the next day. I then called the same extension, was again told I had spoken to someone else, to ask about the warranty and was informed that warranty info would be sent separately. After two days I still hadn't received shipping confirmation so I called again. I was transferred by the same guy to the shipping department and after asking if shipping could be expedited or if I could get some sort of refund for shipping, I was hung up on. I called back within minutes and the shipping guy told me I must have talked to someone else and said that shipping info would be sent out that day. I told him I wanted to cancel my order and he began pushing buttons on his phone every time I tried to ask a questions about confirming my cancellation. He said I must have been pushing buttons and yelled into the phone that my order was cancelled. I still have not received cancellation info and two charges totaling $2400 remain on my card. My order status was never updated on their site and I had to call my bank. I am truly dumbfounded! PLEASE TAKE TIME TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE BBB IF YOU HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THEM!!! These guys are shysters. Don't believe their prices. Anything you order, they will call and tell you it doesn't have battery, it's not the US model, etc. They will up sell you so that the product you're ordering ends up costing more than you can get it at a dozen other places. Their shipping takes forever. Please do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere. It was a harrowing experience buying at $3,000.00 Canon camera from them.

They advertised Canon 5D Mark III for $2090 which is over $500 cheaper than anywhere else I can find. I called them up to confirm this is true. The answer I got was this is an imported model made in China (I had no idea China makes these!) and he would not recommend buy it. Then he went on trying to sell me a Japanese made model for much higher price than other retailers. There is obvious something fishy about how this company conduct business, and I would recommend anyone consider buying anything suspiciously cheaper items to call and confirm what you are going to get, such as is the item new, made for US market, comes with all accessories and warranty etc..

I ordered a camera from America cameras. Three days went by and a salesman called to "verify" my order. I should have known the price was too good to be true. He said no cameras come with a battery and up-sold me a battery and warranty. Two weeks passed and I didn't get a tracking number so I finally called and they said it had just shipped. The nest day I finally got a tracking number. The camera that arrived had obviously been opened with the bags taped shut with some masking tape. The viewfinder was broken. No warranty came and the battery was the standard manufacturer battery so they were just lying. When I asked for my money back, they said it would be a 15 percent restocking fee. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and I ally got my money back. Customer service is terrible. It takes forever to get someone on the phone and if you are complaining they will put you on hold forever. This is not a legitimate company. These people are fraudsters.

I ordered canon T4i two months ago. After two months of calling they told me that the camera has discontinued and cancel my order, yes after two months. After putting bad review they called me and told me that they can ship same camera directly from canon if I pay $100 more and remove my review. After removing my review and agreeing to pay $100 more they just sent me couple of cheap accessories and no camera. Called the again and camera again is in back order and they hung up on me. Worse customer service. very rude. save your time and money

I purchased a Canon 5D Mark III camera and 15mm-85mm lens on 9/21/14. They then called me on 9/22/14 to inform me that the camera I was purchasing was not the US version, but rather an import version without the Canon warranty. They basically performed a bait and switch on the camera. The US version of the camera happened to be significantly more money than the import version. When I told them that the website page where I purchased the camera made no mention of it being an import model, they indicated that the page would have stated it was the US model and also pointed out that the page indicated that there was no warranty included with the camera. They further indicated that the body types for each model were different--the US version being a magnesium alloy body and the import version being something different. I then informed them that the website description for the product body on the so-called import version was exactly the same as the US version. They followed up by saying the website would be fixed in 5 minutes. It is fixed now but I wonder how many other people were misled by that. Against my better judgment, I went ahead and purchased the US version of the camera and lens. Then a whole week went by and I never received a tracking number. During that time I happened to come across some disturbing information regarding the lens I purchased. The lens, according to Canon's website, is not compatible with the Mark III camera. Being camera experts, I expect them to know what lenses go with what camera. I called them on Sunday, 9/28/14 to cancel my order. They stated that the camera had already shipped. I said that I would return it when I received it so they quickly made some accommodations on my order to keep me as a customer, and offered the correct lens at a reduced price to the suggested retail price. But to purchase the correct lens for the camera would cost me $250 more. Again I went against my better judgment and purchased the new lens. On Monday, September 27th, I called to get the tracking number for the camera. They then indicated that it had not shipped, yet the day before when I tried to cancel my order they indicated that the package had shipped! They then assured me that I would get a tracking number via email no later than Friday, October 3, 2014. So here we are today, October 3, 2014 AND THERE IS NO TRACKING NUMBER IN MY EMAIL. I have also checked my spam folder. Their customer service is so bad that I have contacted my credit card company to stop payment. I do not believe that they have shipped the product nor intend to ship the product. If by some miracle I do receive the product, I will return it to them with the shipping box unopened.
