Frustration!
Newer update: 9/17/26 Got an email from Millie that stated I would receive the tool kit, where to find the serial number, where to register warranty. And that she would send along my praise of Michelle. I’m sure I have been a pain in the butt, but don’t feel it was all my fault. Better explanation in the manual, better educated service reps, and more responsive customer service that offers more than platitudes would have made my worries much smaller to non-extant. Update: 9/15/26 I received an email from Millie. Almost didn’t find it as it was in my junk mail folder. Said my request was sent to a team to be promptly taken care of. Waited 36 hours after that and no response yet. So I called again and was told Millie was busy. I kept insisting that I needed to talk to someone. My call was finally transferred to Michelle. I went thru the problem once again. She asked me several questions. And finally told me that the joystick should only show what I was seeing. This was the 3rd person I had talked to and no one had told me that yet even though my story had not changed. I told Michelle that no one had told me this and she was shocked. My email from Millie did not say that either. Props to Michelle and back to training for the other 2 ladies. I have yet hear from Mlllie about what the team decided. Took the chair out today for 1 hour around my neighborhood. It worked well and thanks to Michelle, I was not afraid of being stranded. Also, I asked for warranty information. No mention of it in my email to them. So I don’t know if I have one, will get one or what. Watching videos today from all Star, found out I should have a tool kit with my chair. I never got one. 9/9/26 I bought a power chair in hopes of traveling more. My walking is limited due to a lung condition. My original trip was for June, but due to weather is was postponed until 9-20-26. Anyway- got the chair late in the first week of June. Had a problem charging it day 1. Called customer service and was told how to remedy the problem. I charged it and practice in my home and yard. Continue to charge it about once every 10 days as the manual says. Now took it for my first real outing. Excited! And start to go and notice that I only have 2 green light in my joy stick. I stop and check my batteries they show fully charged. So I figure it’s just me. Go about 1000-1500 feet and one of the green lights disappears! Now I have 3 amber lights! So we turn around and go back to our vehicle. Outing ruined. Get back to hotel and call customer service again. They tell me to charge the battery thru the joy stick as I had just charged each battery individually. So I did that overnight. Next morning no change. Travel home. And call customer service again! Now I’m told I will need a technician come look at it. I ask when and where would he be from. I live in the Midwest. She said I would have to call him! I keep the position that I’m supposed to leave in a trip in 9 more days. How fast can this happen. She remained respectful, but I was getting no place fast. So I asked to speak to a supervisor. Was told she was on the phone and I would get a call yet today. This was just after 1:00. So I waited until 20 till 5 and tried again since no one had called yet. I got an answering service and was told they had all gone home. No one was there. It was not 5 yet. Three minor complaints: The manual does not tell you if the battery is to be on or off when charging. The pictures are all black and white. So pictures of the joystick was deceiving. It never told you what you should see. Directions are written by someone who is familiar with products. Assumes too much for older customers that are not familiar with this machinery. Please use color pictures. Tell us what we should see. I can assume I should see 5 green dots in the joy stick. My joystick showed 1 red light on the left, 2 amber lights and 2 green lights at the beginning yesterday. What was the red light? It never says anywhere that the light will turn amber when getting low or do they turn yet another color. Also did not receive warranty information. Hoping you will let me file warranty. I found this information on line yesterday. And where is the vehicle identification number located?

Cynthia, thank you for taking the time to write all of this down, and I'm sorry your first real outing ended the way it did. You shouldn't have needed three calls to learn what the joystick lights actually mean, and you're right that our manual should say that plainly, in color, for people who are new to a power chair. I'm passing your specific notes on the manual and the charging instructions to the people who write it. I'm glad Michelle got you sorted and that the chair performed well on your neighborhood run, and I'll make sure she hears your praise. Millie's email about the tool kit, serial number location, and warranty registration stands; if any of that hasn't arrived, please email [email protected] or call (669) 267-5655 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm PST) and I'll follow up on it myself. I hope your postponed trip goes wonderfully.
