This place is a scam. Would not recommend. It was a complete hassle trying to fill my pet's prescription. I sent my prescription 2 day priority shipping for expedited shipping since they did not accept fax prescriptions. They took over a week to acknowledge the prescription was received. According to the tracking number, the prescription was received a week earlier. I called them multiple times to check on the status of my order. Customer service did not help me and kept saying they have not received the prescription. The money you would save does not cover the hassle and complete incompetence of their prescription processing.

Allivet is total BS two times they stopped our little babies heart medication and she suffered alot this last time. they are so stupid at allivet. they said that they didnt have the prescription one time and another person a short time later said they did. then there was issues getting it in the mail to send out. Each time they NEVER called to tell us they could not send the product which made it worse waiting for it in the mail.

I placed an order over four days ago and still don’t have my dog’s medication. They faxed the prescription request to my vet once, then told me to follow up with the clinic myself. After I handled that and the prescription was finally approved, the order still hasn’t shipped... four days later. For days, their system has supposedly been down, and no one can tell me the status of my order. No updates. No clear answers. No sense of urgency. My dog is sick and needs this medication. The lack of communication and follow-through is unacceptable. If your pet depends on timely delivery, I would not recommend ordering from here. I’ll be going back to Chewy, it may cost more, but at least their service and logistics are reliable. Update 03/05/2026: After I reached out to them myself trying to find a solution, one of the representatives suggested creating a new order using the same information so it could arrive within 2 business days at no extra cost. That’s what we ended up doing. At no point did anyone from the company contact me first. I had to reach out and push for a solution myself, especially after explaining that I would never order from them again and would switch to Chewy in the future. I finally received the medication yesterday, but it arrived almost two weeks after I originally placed the order, and only because I followed up and pushed for a fix. Based on this experience, I won’t be purchasing anything from them again. When it comes to urgent medication, their lack of communication and urgency shows they simply don’t care.

First order processed fine. I order months at a time. My auto subscribe was due on Feb 15th. My last order was November I believe, so they have had it in their system, what I need, for 4 months! They email 14th to confirm. Then email me on 15th to say it's processing. Then on 17th i get an email, half my perscription is on backorder. They could have emailed me, ya know, 2 weeks prior to tell me this so I could get my prescriptions to a vet that had stock. The current prednisolone shortage has been going on for months... and the fact that allivet did nothing to secure the meds or INFORM their customers of the issue is beyond unprofessional. It is down right deadly. Talked to support...even thou my status says "pending fulfillment" and "not yet shipped", they CLAIM it was already shipped. They did give me a coupon that covered 80% of cost. So I moved this up to 2 stars from 1. THEN... i checked the listing for prednisolone, and moved this back to 1star. There is no button to notify me when it's in. IN FACT, it says it's IN STOCK! So... now... even if I put another order in, I won't get the free shipping on auto subscribe because only needing the 1 pill is under required amount.

Would not honor a coupon that I later realized when I got my visa bill was not added at checkout. Customer service would not honor nor give me any discount on my almost $200 order. They did however offer 5% off on future auto ship orders. Everyone gets that discount so they really offered me nothing. They just lost a customer who was planning on getting all my dog’s meds, supplements and food from them.

This is the most unprofessionally run operation, even for the internet. I ordered pain meds for my older dog TWO WEEKS AGO! I go on-line and it says they need RX approval, NO ONE called, emailed or tried to get it touch with me. I call them, they had already talked to my vet, but now wanted me to call the vet for them??? At best it will be another week before I get the med's. I checked 1 star because there was no LOWER rating I could give them

Constant and repetitive emails looking for an RX they already have on file. One mail says my product is on the way, and the next says they have no RX! Ordering used to be flawless…but now they are all either brain dead or on crack! Prices are great, but it’s almost not worth the aggravation to order from them.
