I had dealt with this company in the past, but this August (2023) I had a nightmare experience trying to get my dogs heartworm meds. I'll cut to the chase. My Vet's office sometimes lets the phone ring 20 times before they can pick up, and yes, they have a fax number. Allivet's customer service is a misnomer. They provide NOTHING. They pass your concerns onto another department, which you are not allowed to talk to. They will NOT even email you a confirmation that your order is canceled. 16 days wasted trying to buy meds. MY VET authorized permission almost immediately upon receiving a fax. They claimed the fax only covered 1 of my dogs. Pathetic. Also, they claim they are in Miami, but all reps speak with heavy accents that I had trouble understanding.

It was too hard, waaay too hard. Allivet was not getting an authorization for one med. Allivet could have sent the rest for which they did have authorization. I asked for it to be so. The rep on the phone said that it was impossible, That I would have to invalidate my whole order and begin again. I have three dogs that are on a lot of heart meds and pulmonary meds. We needed that medicine. Also, the rep spoke such heavily accented English that I could not understand her. Felt like hanging up immediately. I also had trouble online with the ordering process. The form would not accept the weight of one dog and would not progress any further. I spent all morning entering in all of the info. The whole experience left me feeling like putting my fist through the wall.

Terrible customer service and super long processing times for orders even when you pay $22 for next day shipping, they'll probably take 3-4 days to process your order so it would be faster to order from somewhere else that isn't so slow to ship it out and save your money

I placed an order on a Friday for a medication that they showed in stock on their website. My vet sent the prescription to Allivet on the same day. I never heard from them again. I called on the following Wednesday and was told they didn't have the medication in stock. No contact with me to let me know as the days went by and I am running out of medication. I cancelled my order and will not do business with this company again! After I cancelled my order they sent me an email stating "Without a valid prescription from your licensed Veterinarian we were not able to process your order. Our team has tried their best to get in touch with you and your Pet’s Vet for the prescription. Unfortunately, we were not successful in getting a hold of you and/or your Vet." An outright LIE!

Been with Allivet for years. Called because my dog’s autoship prescription didn’t process, rep said it was corrected and would ship. Had to call back because it didn’t, this rep said it would be expedited free of charge. Called back a 3rd time because it was sent to the wrong address, this rep said they could t do at about it except a refund & my dog now does not have any refills available. Never using them again.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Allivet's service. Despite placing an order for next-day shipping, Allivet shipped it two-day (but still charged next day). What made matters worse was the fact that I had to explain to the overseas call center the distinction between two-day and next-day shipping. Unfortunately, the call center was completely unhelpful and seemed to have no understanding of how poorly they were representing Allivet. Not happy and very disappointed.

Allivet claims to sell Apoquel for dogs at a discount price if you get auto-ship but it is a big LIE. I placed an order on line and right after I put my CC number in the price increased by $12.84. I called the Customer Service line and was told by the representative that is must be a glitch in the system. He offered to take my CC number and place the order for me. After seeing how shady the company is do you really think I would give my CC number to one of its employees. Ha ha

Absolute trash company. They've screwed up two VERY important prescriptions in the last few months. This time they sent an email on 4/25 saying my dog's seizure medication was shipping 5/1; it never shipped. I emailed two days ago and got no response. I was on live chat for 40 minutes (answering the same questions multiple times) before the person told me I'd get it in 4 days. I need it TOMORROW. They had no explanation for why it didn't ship 5/1. It's on auto ship and there's a valid prescription on file. So I called and was told again they couldn't overnight it. BS. You CAN overnight it, you just WON'T. Even though it's 100% your mistake. This is all after a similar incident with different medicine for our other dog a few months ago, and that one played out the exact same way. I cancelled all future orders and my account this morning. You guys aren't dealing with food or toys, this is IRREPLACEABLE MEDICATION. Our dogs RELY on this for their LIVES. It's an embarrassment that a company this big not only can't get the orders right, but won't make it right when they do screw it up. Why would I want an account credit for a company I can't trust to do what they're supposed to do? That's not a valid solution. I'm about to tell anyone who will listen to never use this company. Horrible reliability. Horrible customer service. They just flat out don't care.
