Move went well. Not the least expensive but the move itself went well. Had to pay extra to time the offload based on my closing date.
Real strict on claims deadline. I submitted a claim 2 days past the 9 month deadline and denied. No grace, no flexibility. Quick to takes your thousands of dollars, but once they have your money it's too bad, so sad.

Worst Moving Experience
I have moved over 20 times and had very good experiences until now. I used Allied for a move from So Carolina to Ct. The driver did not communicate with me, showed up late and only brought one person (68 yo) to help with the move. They did not adequately protect my home or furniture, used dirty/used moving blankets and it took 12 hours to load my 2 bedroom home with limited furniture. I complained to management and the complaint was escalated to upper management where I was assured there would be additional labor to unload. Driver then went south to Georgia and packed a home while my belongings were in the truck in extreme heat. When he showed up a week later with my belongings it was the same 2 guys to unload! No extra help. Seems driver chose his route based on profit for him and did not hire help so he could keep more money for himself. Management is obviously useless. If your time is important and you value your belongings, use a different company!!

I had a great experience with North…
I had a great experience with North Atlantic Van Lines. The team was punctual, professional, and handled all of my belongings with care. They worked efficiently and made the entire moving process stress-free. Communication was clear throughout, and the final cost matched the initial estimate. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable moving service!

the worst moving company ever
the worst moving company ever. moved from Colorado to Texas. delivered items late, and we were not compensated for that. damaged furniture and a lost box… lost our bed frame, we’ve been sleeping on the floor for two months now while we wait for the claims process. no apology, no phone call… just unapologetic emails. they also lied about the moving process, I had no idea the truck they used to load our stuff would be sent to a warehouse where they loaded it onto another truck. do not use this company. they are also called Coleman Worldwide moving.

A nightmare of an experience
This has been the worst moving eperience of my life and I've moved a number of times. These people just to not care about your belongings. Most of my furniture was either damaged beyond repair or scraped up. The price was high, the packing was poor, the delivery was a week late, the inventory was completly illegible and nondescript. All in all, this was a nightmare and we're not through it yet. As of this date many items are lost and unresolved. Stay away from this company and the District Manager in Colorado Springs.

A DISASTER
We moved from Florida to Texas with them Allied/ Coleman. We received our furniture 11 days later.
Most of the big furniture loaded by the movers, arrived in very bad conditions and we can not use them anymore. The driver said it was our fault if our furniture arrived in bad conditions: he said our furniture were not originally well assembled and he added.. our furniture were cheap! How can you say that? Totally inacceptable comments from the driver and awful experience.

NIGHTMARE
NIGHTMARE
We moved from Virginia to Austin Texas, we picked the most expensive package. Allied Van Lines is a nightmare company for this reasons:
HORRIBLE ATTENTION TO DETAIL when packing things, high and low value items badly package with not the correct size boxes items where swimming in too large boxes where space was not filled with paper which resulted in broken and damaged things.
DELAY on delivery dates.
At delivery BROKEN ITEMS because of bad handling and terrible packaging. Broken glassware and dish-ware, damaged furniture, broken legs on expensive furniture, artworks, etc..
LOST TIEMS. They lost artwork and some kitchen boxes with appliances that will not be refunded because we didn't see it on delivery .We have so many items than on delivery its impossible to see if everything is there. Now they say is not their fault.
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. When things are going smooth there was no problem. But when delays started and when things showed up broken or we realized things where missing, the customer service was rude, hard to get on the phone and overall they treated us terribly.
AGAIN WE PAYED FOR THE MOST EXPENSIVE PACKAGE AND WE HAD A NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE. NEVER AGAIN.

Foreman: Nick
Punctual, courteous, and professional. I felt comfortable and well looked after right from Hello. If I had a question, Nick took the time to answer it, providing the clarity I needed. The whole process was very efficiently managed. He and his team worked extremely well together. They tagged all of my items with a number to be cross-checked upon delivery. Before leaving, Nick let me know what to expect in terms of communication from him as my delivery date got closer. And what he said would happen - did happen, exactly as he said.
DELIVERY
Foreman: Nick
Again, punctual, courteous, and professional. Nick gave me a clipboard with the tagged numbers of all my items on it, and as he brought each item off the truck he called its number, and I checked it off. Everything was accounted for. He and his team did an excellent job for me. I had a tall, very heavy cabinet that wouldn't fit in the elevator of my storage facility, so they had to take it up a flight of stairs. It wasn't easy, but they managed it without complaint, which I appreciated so much.
My experience with Allied Van Lines / Thompson's Moving & Storage was 100% positive due to their amazing team. I will always be grateful.
