A + R travel packet for my tour arrived at my home after I left home to tour Italy. I thought A + R was supposed to have a driver meet me at train stations in Italy and hotels to transport me to chosen sites and skip line to see points of interest. None of this happened. I was very disappointed. Hotels, though very pricey, selected by A + R were excellent and in ideal locations.

Our family Africa trip was excellent

This is an excellent company with fabulous experiences and guides. The hotels, and meals are 5 star or higher. There were No Problems. A small group makes it so much better, with lots of individual attention. This company has spoiled me and I would not use any other company.

We used A+R when it was still called General Tours & had extraordinary personalized service & amazing experiences. A+R is still OK, but our most recent experiences with A+R were merely satisfactory. A+R is services were much less personalized than GT, and it provided much less attention to detail. While we will probably still use A+R but will continue to look for alternatives. We loved GT & are disappointed in the changes with A+R.

Alexander & Roberts prepared an amazing customized trip for my daughter and I to Montenegro. Everything exceeded our expectations, from the beautiful places we visited off the beaten path to the lovely meals along pristine shorelines and mountain meadows, the guides and driver were professional, accommodating and made us feel as if we were traveling with friends - I couldn't say enough about our experience and the support and follow-through even after the trip. Highly recommended! A. Petropoulos

Seven trips; no complaints!

A&R did NOTHING other than act as a booking agent. There was no special informational sessions. The shore excursions were all arranged and managed by the cruise line. The ONBOARD A&R representatives added no value (I think it was a comped trip for them). Better and cheaper to have booked directly. Definitely will not use again. By contrast another travel company had booked much of the ship and their rep. was always helping their clients and provided a vastly more meaningful service.

We used them for our land trip to China, Cambodia, and Singapore, specifically Beijing, Xian, Guilin, Siem Reap, and Singapore. Fabulous guides. Everything went well, beyond expectations.
